Well, most everyone who knows me is aware of the health issues I have been having the past two months with being overweight, and my high blood pressure. Today I had my latest Dr visit, and all went very well. Iam down to 178 lbs, which represents a 7 pound loss in the last month, and a 19 pound loss since I was diagnosed with my high blood pressure on March 17. My blood pressure is getting better as well, coming in today at 130 over 84, down from 150 over 100. My doctor is very pleased, and he said I have only another 3 lbs to lose to achieve the goal he set for me of 175 pounds. While Iam aware that normal BP is 120 over 80, he has set a goal that he wants me to have low blood pressure of somewhere in the neighborhood of 110 over 70 or even 100 over 70. Instead of having to see him in one month, as I had for the last two months, I can now wait 2 months, until July. My challenge now will be how to lose 3 more lbs, and stay at that weight, while reintroducing certain foods into my diet such as Italian and Fried Chicken occasionally, and still maintain weight. He told me I have lost an amazing amount of weight in 2 months, and that I now look great. Iam very pleased, as I have exhibited a great deal of willpower in the last 2 mos, for someone who basically ate very unhealthy foods for the last six years since I've lived here.
I know I've spoken to many forum members, and friends who I have on here about this issue. I want to thank everyone on the forum and in chat who has been there to support me. It is appreciated. Between my forum friends, my family, and my shrewd doctor, along with a lot of willpower, I have achieved a difficult goal in a short period of time. Now, I have to go that last little step, and maintain it, which Iam confident I can do. Thanks again everyone, and peace to all.
