The only thing I disliked Australia for is the rude tone of their police officers when handing out speeding tickets to foreigners! That happened to me on a highway near Melbourne when an Aussie cop followed me rather closely on his motorbike while I was overtaking another car about 5 km/h too fast. In order to wave him by quickly, I accelerated slightly to get into the slow lane again, but he stopped me and gave me a speeding ticket. When he saw my driver's license, he sneered: "I thought German cars had breaks, too!" If I had used the breaks, I would have had to scrape his remains off my rear window!

But apart from this, and their over-strict immigration policy, and their treatment of aborigines, there's nothing wrong at all with Australia! 😛

Oh Hal! If you'd been American you'd have been smart enough to realise that it wasn't the born Australians who treated the Abbos so badly; it was those bloody evil English bastards! (At least that's what Mel Gibson says, so it must be true.)


And their immigration policy is a bad thing? The only bad thing about the way the aussie navy handled that ship that tried to offload a few thousand illegal immigrants, was that they didn't loose off a few shells and sink the fucker. Coming from England I can appreciate that angle.
