Aye! I'm not at all fond o' the American government. In fact I think their o' bunch o' rich bullies who treat us all like cattle! Just who do they think they are anyway? They sit up on their high horses and tell us we must pay them taxes or else! It's not fair I tell ya! Not fair at all! Tell me now. How do most of ye feel about over-throwing these tyrants? While I do agree that our current administration is somewhat ineffective, I ask you this; what are we to replace them with? No matter who is placed in as the new governemt, they will still be bound by the timeless rule of authority: power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The current governments replacements would soon become just as bad as the current.

But then again, I have a very low opinion of humanity as a whole, and should probably be sent to Mars on a one way trip. With half the necessary supply of oxygen.

Honestly, if AI were advanced enough to think and act on it's own, 100% individually, it would probably view the entire human race from an unbiased opinion, and deal with us appropriately... which would be very detrimental to us...lol. Humans are wasteful and petty. Humans need so many things just to stay COMFORTABLE. It wouldn't be worth their time to deal with us and serve us. What do you don't get is that AI that advanced is just about the same thing as a sociopath, except an advanced sociopath. They can think faster, and react faster, and they can think on their own. We're like weeds. What do you do when you see weeds growing on your lawn? You kill 'em lol. They don't serve any purpose to us, and are a completely waste of time. They'd probably either murder us for the sake of having more space, or use us like batteries like in The Matrix. But seeing as how we'd be too stupid to block out the sun and stop their solar panels from absorbing energy from the sun, they'd just kill us. Drop some devastating virus like Ebola on all parts of the world and we're done for. Or maybe even destroy so many trees that oxygen becomes scarce....so many ways to commit genocide, especially for a robot. Devistating disease/virus, destroying the trees, Destroying more of the ozone layer....hey if the metal is strong enough, it can survive intense heat.

No matter what administration is in power starting with the President's and working all the way down to the lowest level of local authority there will always be people who are for or against it. The greatest thing about our form of government is that we don't need any "Anti-government uprisings". That's why we have the power of the vote and can go to the polls and elect new people into political office. What's really is amazing to me is that so many people don't vote at all,especially in local elections. I bet a lot of the people who do most of the bitching are the ones that don't care enough to go to the polls and vote.

While I agree with everything you said, this part really stood out because its true. I sort of feel the same way about people who don't pay taxes and bitch about the freebies they aren't getting.

I think the crux of the matter is the Bush administration are having success using fear as way to deny the very civil liberties, to it's own citizens, that it claims to be fighting for in foreign countries.

To jump up and down pointing one's finger saying, 'See! See! Since you did not vote you have no rights.' Is precisely the kind of nationalistic idea the administration fosters. Following that logic would mean everyone who lives in Washington DC (where they do not have the right to vote in the election) would have no civil rights, not to mention children, visitors from foreign countries, anyone who could not get a ride to the polls, etc... To negate the disenfranchised so easily is precisely what they claim we are fighting against...*shakes head in disgust*

It's just horrifying, like watching a slow motion trainwreck to me.
