Note the line "unless of course that's what she wants." That's what nobody here is even disputing, right? These guys (who aren't exactly profound philosophers, plainly) seem to be talking about strangers tickling strangers as part of flirting, not exactly what's advocated on this board.

Well, as a matter of fact I know a lot of people with that opinion (they don't know my "secret"). Actually, a lot of people consider tickling as pure torture.

It is strange, that a phenomenon can be wiewed so differently by different people.

And well, yes in a way I can understand that: when I was mobbed at the school tickling was involved, it was awful. But my female cousin tickling me when we played, it was fun.

So tickling can in fact be an assault in some situations.

As I said, I did a search for tickle on one of the craigslist forums, and this is one of the threads that turned up. i know a lot of anti-tickle people. Vanilla people tend to be very weirded out by tickling. no need to panic, i just thought their comments were hysterical.

Pure torture, right, and not the good kind of torture. I suppose none of these guys have ever in their lives tickled a younger sibling, or a cousin, or a romantic interest? Just a poke in the ribs or the side of the neck? Nevermind the millions of non-ticklephiles who occasionally subject the same sort of people to much more extreme bouts of tickling. I've never seen a boy/girlfriend who never, at least once, tickled their partner. Would they do this to just anybody? No? Well, ok, so they singled their partner out for this extreme, ought-to-be-illegal form of torture?
