As we move closer to our 2 year anniversary there are plans being made to give the site a slight facelift. That means upgrading our board programs, tweaking the main colors, and even getting a new sleek logo to make it all complete.

So I am asking if one among you is a graphically talented person. This is your chance to leave a mark on a community you (hopefully 😉) love to come to. Now I'm not saying our current logo is bad, daddy from old HotelTickle did a nice job, but it's just time for a little change that's all.

Here are the basic logo guidelines:
  1. Must be no larger than 300x75 pixels
  2. Must match the new site color theme (color code: #1A59B8 - transparent background even better)
  3. If possible, be submitted in vector format for resizing purposes
  4. Needless to say, but having fun with number bullets - include some sort of tickling aspect along with our name and/or initials.
This is a small teaser of the new site design still undergoing constructions and other tweaking:

Wow !!! Looks pretty cool......i'm sure there will be many artist from TT that would like to put their art on the "new logo here" 😀

Btw, sorry for the recent server instability. I've put in a request to have it checked out, but I just rebooted the machine so it should be fine for a little bit anyway. Looking to move the site to a dual processor server as soon as I can find a good deal under $200/mo.

Wow! Amazing how much it costs to keep this place running! Ihope that the advertisers are footing the bill and this isn't coming out of your own pocket! I've said it before and I'll say it again...you really deserve our apreciation for all the work you do to keep this forum going!

Yes, much props to MTJPub & TickleTown for signing up for our advertisement services. If only I could get a few more awesome advertisers I wouldn't need to pay for this out of pocket.

Well I think you're amazing for keeping TT running even at that high cost. Yay you! Ipromise when I win the lottery I will give back to the community. 😀

I think I've got something worked out, but I have to ask, what kind of format works for you? If I save it as a jpeg or gif, the option for a transparent background isn't possible, and resizing becomes a tiny bit more difficult. As I'm working on it in Photoshop, saving in it's default format, .psd, is best, but of course that option's out if you don't have Photoshop yourself. Basically I've completed my submission, this format buisness is the last thing I have to deal with before sending it to you.

Excellent! Glad people are deciding to submit their work. 🙂

Well actually I have PaintShop Pro myself, so I can probably open up a PSD file. I think Adobe has an option to save as a PSP file? In any case, if you send a layered file like that I should be able to open it up and put in the current background color or another color if we put in multiple color themes.

You may attach your submissions to this thread in zipped format (for those .psd/.psp) files. Or you may choose to e-mail them privately to tickle(at)tickletheater.com.

You should be able to, yeah. I know I can with PSP8. Only problem is, there's a couple special text effects that I did in Photoshop that aren't recognized in PSP. I'll experiment a little.

I got your e-mail, and have adjusted the settings for other users to upload onto this thread. 🙂

I think you should leave most of the design like it is.

It is already very sleek and easy on the eyes - not to mention fast.

I would hate to see a cumbersome slow loading design with lots of graphic files.

The logo needs an update and maybe the color scheme as well (but leave the grey as the main forum color. really. its great)

Well from the screenshot you can see that I have done just that. I just tweaked the main blue coloring to be more inviting and fresh. My goal is to keep the site sleek and fast which is why I wouldn't even think about loading it up on unneeded graphics.

So far I've received one logo from Buffy, so please feel free to submit your entries. I plan on making a type of fan art section since we have many wonderful past milestone graphics and other images dedicated to the site. 🙂

Uploaded a logo concept to the first post of this thread.

Please don't hesitate to ask questions for confirmation purposes. For example when I suggest curving the title for 3D effect I mean curving the entire set of words down in a slight "U" shape like it's coming right out at you in a movie projection style sense. 🙂

Question

Hello TT,

I have been a long time member, my first post in months (or years??).
I loved your website and I like how you have updated the website.

I have two questions about the new logo of the girl who looks like she is being tickled on the top of the screen. One: Do you have a full image of this girl being tickled? Two: Are there any more images of this girl or images from the artist of the logo? Thank you for your time and keep up the good work.

Hello us23fsu,

I do have a bigger sized version of her but it's cut-off at the waist. There might be some more images depending on what revisions are being made by Tomato Dragon. Rest assured any additional artwork for the site will be displayed soon in a new forum dedicated to site fan art.

Glad you decided to make your first post, and look forward to more if you so desire.
