Just curious. If you do, are you as annoyed as I am with the recent change to our voice mail? The connection sounds awful, IMO. I used to like to record little music sound clips to use as my voice mail greeting, but now I can't without experiencing a crapload of static. Now, I could never record anything heavy and distorted, but any sort of calmer song was generally fine and static free. Not at all the case now. Also, when you call your voice mail to change your greeting now, you are forced to listen to your old greeting in its entirety before recording a new one. That was not the case before. Recording a new greeting used to be pretty quick and painless. Wasting my damn minutes, man. I've called customer service, and apparently they've been receiving a lot of calls from unsatisfied customers regarding the change. It might seem like a small thing, but I can't understand why T-Mobile has chosen to switch to a voice mail system which is clearly inferior, and has a worse sound quality, than the old one. I wish there was something more I could do about it. Anyone else feel my pain?

I feel your pain. Mobile (cell) phone companies are only interesting in making money

Adam, dear, I do - or should say I did. I'm from NJ but was in Baltimore when the vm change went through. I couldn't redo my box or anything because I wasn't in my home area. I got the problem solved by a call to customer service (after the obligatory 15 minute hold) and everything is ok now. As for quality differences, that I can't say I've noticed.

I've been seriously thinking about switching carriers for other reasons, but I travel a lot all over the country and T mobile is almost always there for me.

I think that goes for every other company regarding making money. Money first the customer second. 🙁

Agreed. But Mobile phone companies are the worst. Heres what happened to me with Orange last year

Had phone stolen
Rnag orange to report it stolen and they said they'd bar calls
They didn't bar calls
Got a £200 phone bill
Had to pay phone bill and £50 for new phone on contract
The thief had subscribed to some WAP porn service
When I got new phone I was still subscrbed and ran up extra £50 whilst trying to cancel it

Had phone stolen again several months later
Reported phone stolen
Promised a new phone would be sent (under insurance)
It was sent but told I couldn't use it as it was "wrong phone"
Sent me another phone out - took two months to arrive
Told I couldn't use it and also charged even though it was supposed to be free under insurance
Eventually got money back and a new phone

I can't convey in this message how bad orange were. They were awful. What's worse is that if you're phone is stolen Orange's stupid slow computers can't tell you if the thief has used your phone until about a month later. There system is slow bad.
