Yeah OTEP counts. Don't worry i'm not one of thoses that is harsh on what true metal is and isn't like alot of metal fans.

Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Exodus, Dio, Slayer, Overkill (got tickets for Feb. 20th at BB Kings!), Lacuna Coil, Motorhead, W.A.S.P., King Diamond, High on Fire, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Jag Panzer, Icarus Witch and I could go on for quite a bit. If any band seems unfamilair give em a try! I bet youll like em!

Lacuna Coil

Now that i listen more and more of Lacuna Coil songs (who i like by the way i have a burnt cd of theres ) They sound pretty similar to Amy Lee's band Evanescence.

Both with Christina's voice (of Lacuna Coil) and Amy (of Evanescence)

Maybe it's just me though. But to me they do.

I don't go out of my way to listen to metal, although I an enjoy it. The only band/person that I have seen live and would go out of the way to see that even comes close to metal is Alice Cooper, but I doubt that he is really metal.

Good choice with Underoath,you can't go wrong with that band. I got there ''They're Only Chasing Safety'' album. I wouldn't label Underoath as Metal though i put them under the ''screamo'' title... But whatever. Thier still good either way.

I'll have to check out Trivium.

LOL oh no need to duck and cover Storm. I'm not really a fan of Evanescence anyways!. I'm MUCH more of a fan of Lacuna Coil.

Going to see Over Kill at BB Kings in New York City on February 29th for my birthday with goddessofpixies. Last time Over Kill played there it was freakin wild! Fans jumped the guardrail and sang with the band on stage. They were so good that the fans demanded they return so soon. Cant wait!
