Anyone else starting to get annoyed with Michael Cole?

I had no problem with him as a annoucer, I thought he was pretty good.

But seriously, his obbsesive man love for The Miz, the constant run down of Daniel Bryan, I think he's trying way to hard to sell the character of Michael Cole and just stick to annoucing.

Is the Miz still a Heel, and if so, is Cole a heel announcer? If thats the case then it would be part of his job to sing the praises of the heel wrestlers.

I personally liked Cole in the old days, but he has become quite annoying. I guess the WWE are trying something new with his character because I have never seen Cole as a heel announcer. Since Lawler is face, might as well have heel annoucer as well. Though to be honest if it's true, cole makes a lousy heel announcer

There's beeing a heel annoucer (i.e. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, Jeese Ventura and so forth) and then there's what Michael Cole is doing.

Maybe those are unfair comparision, but still even The Coach Jonathan Coachman was better at it. To me Michael Cole is trying way to hard.

I was annoyed one thousand "vintages" ago.

There is nothing more to say after this. Cole just plain sucks.

That is possible, but, isn't it the job of the more experienced people to try and help him improve. Whyguy says Lawler is his partner, he was a great heel commentator, so shouldn't he be advising Cole on what he does right, and what he is doing wrong?

Then again if the ratings are good with the TV then McMahon and company probably don't care what he does. Vince is like Harold Ballard (who used to own the Toronto Maple Leafs) all he cared about was the money, and couldn't have cared less about how well the team played. Vince probably figures as long as the ratings are decent then it doesn't matter how good or bad the program is.

My only advice is, if you aren't happy with the product, then don't watch it. When the TV ratings drop, or the attendance slacks then Vince will make changes. If the money is there he will leave it as is.

I haven't been watching since WrestleMania. I'm not sure if I'll ever watch an entire WWE program again. The only thing I look for from them are the DVD's on the people who made a significant contribution to wrestling. A Steamboat DVD came out this summer and a Jericho DVD is due in a few weeks.

The King, Heenan, and Ventura were naturals as heel commentators. The problem with Cole is that everything he says sounds contrived.

Micheal Cole can not even hold JBL's jockstrap let alone putting him in the same breath as great hell commentators as Heenan, Ventura, and the King. I would put JBL up there with them. I wish he was doing commentating. He would do it right.

Well thats why I'm wondering whats gonna happen if Jim Ross indeed jumps ship to TNA, TNA could really be at an advantage if he moves over just from all of the respect that man has backstage, WWE could be seeing its popularity start to wane sooner rather than later.

The only way the WWE will be challenged is if a company is supported by a billionaire like WCW was.

Isn't Vince a billionaire? Things would change if the fans would put their foot down, and stopped supporting the WWE's current state of Bull Shit then they would have to take their collective heads out of there united asses and start producing something worth watching.

It goes back to what I said when TNA tried to go head to head with WWE on monday nights. Its the WWE arrogance that says "we're the WWE and your gonna watch no matter what because there's nobody out there better."

michael cole is trying be a heel by being a an asshole. He doenst have the look of a heel. It just doesnt work for him.

I am glad Jericho shut him up if but for awhile last night. That was funny.

Is it WWE arrogance, or WWE fan snobbery?

If TNA had stayed the course that got them the deal with Spike (aka focusing on the in-ring art, and not skit comedy) they would probably be doing really well about now. They would give the fans an alternative to the WWE in the truest sense. Why would you want to watch them if they are basicly doing the same thing and doing it poorly.

Putting Impact against RAW was a stupid move, TNA is a mess right now and in no condition to compete with the WWE.

I watched TNA when it first popped up on Spike, and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately Dixie Carter and her people are to obsessed with ratings to let things build and develop. WCW was a one time deal, turner had the money, Bischoff had the vision, and Hogan brought the fans. Now everybody sees Bischoff (and Russo) for the idiots that they are, and Hogan is no longer the draw he once was. If they had focused more on the in ring stuff and didn't resort to lame comedy then word of mouth would have brought the true fans to watch them, and of course money, and the posers would have followed.

Give me A.J. Styles vs Chris Daniels over 20 minuets of HHH saying "I AM THE GAME" any day.
