I know that I likely speak for a very small portion of people on here, as well as guys anywhere, but I am absolutely thrilled that all football seasons (College and NFL) are nearing the end. From early August through January of almost every year it's nothing but talk of football where I live because of the Pats being about 20 minutes from my hometown. Pats aside, you turn on the television on a Saturday between the months of September and early December and you find college football on about 50 different channels. On Sundays you likely have nothing to do if you're not into football because all of the other people you know are pounding down beers and junk food while screaming at the television all afternoon and night. Mondays you likely can't avoid listening to the people at work talk about the games over the weekend, or the game ahead the upcoming week. You don't understand the obsession others have with the game and you continue to have no interest in it yourself, but believe me, you're NOT alone.

With there being just one more game left this season I can't help but feel excited to be able to flip on Sports Center and not see 45 minutes of an hour segment of ESPN obsessing over the games coming up on the weekend. Anyone else out there feel the same way?

Not me I'm still holding out that the NFL will go to a 18 game season.

YES. THANK GOODNESS.
i just don't even get it. and i thought ohio state was still playing...so i was all confused yesterday when my sister told me they were done for the season haha

i hate football. i hate it i hate it i hate it.
like all of my friends status updates on facebook is about football...blah blah blah
shoot me in the face now.

okay my rant is over now.
but yes i'm glad it's almost over. 🙂

I'm pissed that my team lost to the freaken Steelers
If only my Team would have played the first half like they did the second half

Oh well better luck next year... Go Packers ><

I lost intrest in sports years ago, so if someone brings it up I say sorry, I don't follow football, baseball etc. That usually ends the conversation. 😀

We may be voices crying out in the wilderness my friend, but you are not alone. I misspelled conversation in my post. 😱

Yes. I hate football. Always have, always will. I'm a baseball fan, and I'm psyched that spring training opens in a few weeks. It gives me hope that the weather will get warmer, with all the freezing cold we've had in my area this winter.

You and me both. Baseball season is the only season I enjoy. When spring training starts I know spring is right around the corner.

I used to hate it. But it's a fact of my life, so I learned to love it. Now it's fun!

This thread is hilarious. People make it seem like football season lasts forever. No, BASEBALL season seems to last forever and a day. There are games almost every single day from April till October.

Quit crying over football. It is the greatest sport ever. Unfortunately, it is coming to an end......

NO

Football season is never technically over.

Next weekend is the Senior Bowl, which I can't wait to watch, if for nothing else, to see which QB will improve their draft status. Also, there is the Pro Bowl. Then the week after that comes The SUPER BOWL. After the Super Bowl comes The Combine...and then later THE DRAFT, which I'm already obsessing over.

To a true football fan, there is no offseason.

In fact, I'm going to be posting football hightlights, and Mock Drafts and such until Preseason starts. (Assuming there isn't a lockout)

Personally, I'm super excited and can't wait until the start of next season since we have Harbaugh now!!!

WELL SAID!

I live within a stone's throw away from Cowboys Stadium. I will be ever so happy when it's done and over with. February 6th, however, will suck dino nuts.

Very well said as well! I'm glad you are just as excited as I am as our Niners hired a good coach. We DEFINITELY need a QB. Here's the sad part. We could have drafted Aaron Rodgers in 2005.....

Funny how the OP is crying about football season, but yet likes baseball which lasts a zillion years. Football is the new "America's pastime"...
