anyone ever been tickled to insanity?

I don't mean tickled just being tickled alot.
Does something happen to the mind and/or body that pushes the tickling past just being tickled for a long time? Do you even remember? How does the 'ler know the 'lee has completely lost it?

I seem to recall reading a Wikipedia article one time about a man tickling his wife to the brink of insanity. But this being Wikipedia, I have my doubts about the article's validity.

Can't even remember where I looked under to read it or I'd post it here.....

I believe this legend is based in Salzburg, Austria. There on the main cemetary are seven crosses, and the women buried there are said to be tickled to death by their husband. It is just a legend though, I will look it up again.

The legend of the seven crosses

In the historic cemetery of St. Peter you will find a grave with seven crosses. According to a legend, this is the tomb of a murderer and his six victims. The court-mason and bricklayer Sebastian Stumpfegger is said to be the murderer of his seven wives. All of Salzburg was puzzled, when one wife after the other died and Stumpfegger got married again and again; but nobody ever found the faintest hint for an unnatural death.

After he got married to his seventh’s wife, the mystery was solved: the woman could escape the murderer and reported how he managed to kill his victims without leaving any traces of a crime. He had bandaged his wives with tape, leaving only the feet exposed. Then, he tickled them until they died.

Yeah, I was in 6th grade and my friends ganged up on me and tickled me to the point that I was screaming like a chick. The teachers came out of the classrooms to see who was screaming. When they saw I was just being tickled to death they smirked and walked away. That was the only time I was tickled to the point of insanity. I've had the tickling sensation(without the laughter) to the point of insanity by the majority of my girlfriends. They know I like massages that tickle so they love to take it to the point of me squirming, moaning, and groaning. Girls are vicious with this!

So Salzburg had that tickle trap thing going on too, but they made a musical/movie based on the Von Trapp family? Now that is crazy!!! Ok the great god of dead presidents was served. This is similar to the Simon de Montfort did you know what to the Albigenses till it killed them query. I think only an extremely small number of people have that level of sensitivity.

By the way, there is another version of that legend which says that the crosses belong to seven nuns (they did not live quite like nuns were expected to) who were found dead with a smile on their face. They all got buried without a mass. Upon exhumation after some years, all seven were found just like they were buried, so they were brought into a new grave and a mass was read for them. During that, the devil came out and ranted about it, so they knew those nuns had been tickled to death by the devil.

It is said that you can still hear the nun's laughter today at midnights in November when you go close to the cemetary.
