Anyone who's been to a Fetishcon/NEST/other gathering..

I know that there's websites that will tell me what they are all about, but i wanted to hear from some of you all that have hopefully been there..

What was the atmosphere like?

Did you meet anyone from TT there?

Will you go again?

I have been to three NESTs 2006, 2007, and 2008. Each time I went, there was at least 100 people, if not more. Many members of TT are also members on TMF as well and I know I met a lot of TMF members, but off the top of my head, I can't recall if I saw any TT members there.

Overall, it was a great experience. The people are really nice and everyone seems to have fun. One suggestion I would make before planning your trip is if you're a little shy or nervous meeting new people, make plans to meet up with some TT or TMF friends at NEST or FetishCon, etc. That way, you'll have some familiar faces (or screen names) to hang out with during down time, etc. Some people complain about feeling left out, but most people are really nice and easy to get along with. Knowing some people there beforehand though can help make you feel more comfortable.

Just curious, Brother, but if you were to attend such an event, would you be speaking in your trademark third-person even there?

You know, I was just about to make another thread about this, when I realized that I still have this one!

Anyway, now that that is out of the way, I have a few more questions.

1. is it mostly tickling that goes on at these conventions, or is it a small part?

2. For the people who was their first time going, did they have some sort of meeting or so beforehand that explained what the event was about, what was being presented, and the ground rules?

I went to FetishCon last year and to me its wasn't all that great. I think the title should be called BDSM convention because that was basically the only fetish that as advertise along with porn. There was the laughing stocks workshop, but I didn't attend that so I couldn't tell you much about that. There are other workshops there at the convention. There is one tickling company there that advertising to tickle people for money on there tickling swing; however, I felt the bondage models and porn models they had were very fake up there. I kinda felt that tickling was kinda down upon by the other fetishes there. I don't think I will go again. The only thing that made it fun was being with my friends and going to the rope bondage workshop since thats my other fetish . Hope this help with your decision in going hun

I was a little curious about the meetings and stuff. What is a good one for someone whos totally new to go to? Fetish con sounds kinda exciting, like someone could get into truble that they dont expect! I just dont wanna go to something and kinda feel weird like I dont know what Im doing.

no i haven't gone to any of those..although at one time i was urged to attend Nest..but i couldn't..i've met members of the tmf and one member from here however, individually..
