Talk about not getting your team ready to play. I put this completely on Lloyd Carr and the coaching staff. Two field goals blocked??? Come on.. lol
There was a big article in the paper here this week about 'will this be Carr's last year?', i think this should be Carr's last game 🙂.
Oh well, at least college football has started, there will great games all year (next week it's VT vs. LSU)

Va Tech was not impressive. ECU could have and should have beaten them if not for killer penalties.
LSU will have a field day with Va Tech.
At least I dont have to worry about Notre Dame. This is a major rebuilding year, and after my beloved Irish go 0-6 to start the year, Claussen will get the start, and go 5-1. No bowl, but next year will have hope.
I think I will enjoy NCAA Football more this year having NO expectations for Notre Dame, and any win will be a good one.
And I think Lloyd Carr's days in Ann Arbor are indeed numbered.
Now who is going to fire their coach to get Carr after the season.

As a Michigan State fan I am still laughing over this one. Its about time they were brought down a peg or two. They were so intent and focused on games they haven't even played yet (i.e. Ohio State and national championship) they disregarded this game. My hats off to A State. They definitely proved themselves to be a worthy team and hope to see them go far in their league.

We knew coming in the defense wasn't gonna be as good as last year's, we knew that. The offense is still strong.
So we won't win the national title, no big deal, we move on. Its not like we're gonna jump off the cliff and kill ourselves
So let's get some perspective, shall we??

I like that casual attitude you have. I know your breaking up inside though. That game will set the tone for the rest of the season. Lets see how casual you are at the end of the season. Thats ok hon....you can cry on my shoulder. I will understand.

Look, I have a different perspective about sports than others. People live and breathe sports, and it consumes them. I sleep well at night regardless of what my teams do. Am I upset that Michigan lost?? You bet your ass. But I didn't let it get to me or act like its the end of the world because of it. Are their national title hopes dashed?? Most likely, but with the fucked up system we have, ie, BCS, anything can happen. All we have to do now is focus on the rest of the season, and win the conference and bowl game and all is well.
Put this in perspective: out of 117 Div 1 schools, only one can win national title. So that means 116 other programs go home empty.
You see, you have to look at things from all angles to truly understand
What this does though, for Carr to keep his job, we have to win the rest, and definitely have to beat Ohio State, and a bowl game. Anything less, he's out of a job
