Are Men at a Disadvantage in Tickling?

Pretty speculative, since there's no reason to suppose that the gender ratio of lurkers is different from that of members. But as I said in an earlier post this wouldn't matter even if true, for purposes of this discussion.

The point is, there are considerably more men than women in the "visible" part of the forum - the part that all of us, both men and women, can interact with. If there's a great mass of invisible women lurking out there, never interacting with anyone to any significant degree, then the net effect is just the same as if they don't exist at all.

Just picking up on this and Bella's comments too about male and female ratios.
One thing you guys (being long term member's) may have overlooked is that if you want to download the pictures or clips from the relevant TMF forums, you have to become a member. Thus many people (and if you don't believe this start working through the list alphabetically) join merely to download and lurk. They do not include any gender details in their profiles, nor make any posts whatsoever. Thus I am not saying either of you is correct in gender ratios, but that it is just something else to consider.

I don't know if any other women think like this, but I first came here to find play partners and have spent little time here otherwise. I'm a great guy and I'm 33. If your looking for alot of mature conversation on the forum from guys 25 or younger think agian. I personaly feel that alot of the 20 somthing males on the forum may be lying about there age (just a guess). Also with the lack of home taught values, and the constant pushing of the "Thug Lifestyle" through mucis and other mediums has taught young men that being an ass hole is ok. When I was a kid if you acted the way some of these guys did, not only wouldn't tou have a date for Saturday, you wouldn't have a friend worth having. Also there is nothing wrong with a 40-something hooking up with somebody in their 30's or even late 20's. People in their late teens and early 20's still have alot of living to do. It is easy to find yourself manipulated when you are still learning to deal with you emotions and seperating them from you hormones.

She's just not into older men, she meant no offence by it. At the age of 21 I certainly don't lack home taught values, I was also taught by my Mother and Father not a medium. I do have a lot of living to do (unless I die soon) but at 33 your not what I'd call elderly either. Youth and ignorance don't always go hand in hand.

From my point of view, is the lack of female ticklers that makes the big difference.
I think it's more difficult for a girl to declare herself a tickler, probably because in their life they have less chances than boys to be in that position, I mean.. it's much easier for a guy to pin down a girl and tickle her for a while than the other way. So, probably the fantasy of being a tickler keeps more hidden in their mind.

I didn't notice this before, but it's really quite insulting (though I will admit that the inherent irony of your post tempers it a bit). You speak of how an older guy like yourself has the experience required to hold a mature conversation, while in the next breath espousing all of these stereotypes you believe people like me conform to.

I'm 20 (no, I'm not lying about my age, there are many here who I know personally who can attest to that). I may have a lot of life ahead of me, but I've done a lot in the time I've had so far. I can hold a better conversation than most, and I'm well past blaming things on hormones 😉. We do exist!

Excellent post, and points that I've been arguing for some time now. I agree that it is unfair, but then that's just the way it is, and probably will always be. Now me personally, I see the lee as the star, although a good ler who really knows what they're doing contributes more than one who doesn't. However, I'm in a possibly vast minority.

And on that, I'd like to point out a few things. When it comes to who's tickling/being tickled, females being the lers are definitely favored. You can break it down into just the preference type;

Female lers prefer seeing a female as the ler, and more often a guy as the lee. (AKA Girl power)
Male lees more often prefer seeing the female as the ler, and a guy as the lee. (AKA Dominatrixes FTW)
Male lers more often prefer seeing a female as the ler and/or lee. (AKA Lesbian fantasies)
Female lees are the wildcards from what I've seen. This is also why I can't come up with a subtitle for them. XD

Simply based on that, it says that having a female as the ler will yield the highest result of popularity. Hence, the reason why you get so many who see an M/F tickling and say "I wanna see a female as the ler! MAKE IT HAPPEN!". Of course, */F and */M mainly appeals to two different audiences, but I'm just going for what this means overall; women here ultimately have the potential to have more power.

I notice in the chatroom that whenever a female says she's only into f/f, or even acts foolish on occasion, people are quick to claim that she's a guy. Now I'm not claiming that this isn't always the case, as I'm sure it is atleast half of the time, but I agree that there are more women around than people assume. It's the same with the myth that females don't play video games.

And I haven't actually seen much evidence that women here don't prefer to be treated nice (other than from a ler's perspective), but maybe that's just me. The other day, I posted a personal for pen pals and until now I have no responses - a young woman posted one shortly after me and she had eight responses almost immediately.

Ah, you raise good points, as expected. However, in both cases I was meaning to refer to what appears here as the majority, although I suppose I didn't clarify that too well. Obviously as a male, for instance, I can't speak for that which a female would think, but only of what I have witnessed from others. We're all bound by our own experiances afterall, although I don't doubt that you have seen more than I. 🙂

On that note, I refered to female lees as "wildcards" due to the fact that they are the ones I could identify the least with, both from my own perspective and what I've witnessed. But your point is taken, although the higher popularity of F/F may also suggest a more significant difference between the number of males vs. females, rather than a less significant one.

And while I agree that a female ler doesn't neccesarily equal higher selling, I do believe that overall the preference does overshadow the actual skill of the ler. I've already stated that I DO believe there are more women here than people think, but that, by comparison overall to the number of males, are still not a vast majority. My thoughts are that the more female members this site has, the more influence may be seen from the fairer sex. Just my thoughts though. Of course in some cases it'd difficult to tell, but I'm not going for EXTREME accuracy here, only a rough estimate.
