are wave files not allowed?

twice now i've tried to post a small audio clip and both times i was told invalid files..what is wrong? i shortened the clip this time around and still i couldn't...thanks..

In Windows XP you can normally zip a file by right-clicking it then selecting "Send to" and choosing "Compressed (zipped) file" from the drop-down menu.
