Do you think it's kind of dumb that we get excited about seeing a foot shot or better yet a tickling or "implied tickling" scene or image in movies/mags or books?

Or is it just reassuring that there are signs out there that it's OK and thus seemingly 'normal' which helps us feel more 'normal' about our fetish?

Orrrrrrrrrrrrr is it just natural for us to note these things since a lot of us have been doing this since we were young? That it's almost second nature.

Sorry to be boring, but I think all three are true. or at least all three can be true.

i think both-were obviously gona notice mainstream tickling no matter how small its kinda our thing but i gota admit sometimes a catch myself looking at something like tickling in a cartoon and think seriously what am i doing?

Hmm...great question as always.

I personally feel that when we notice these things in regular life and it makes us feel like the scene is more normal and open then we previously thought. I also think that it is second nature and we don't entirely realize were doing it. Like you said many of us have had this a long time and been aware, therefore we notice it.

(Think about saying the Pledge of Allegiance for example, you don't have to think about it, but you just do it cause you've been taught since you were 5. It's second nature.)

I honestly don't feel that it is dumb or pathetic that we notice things that relate to us at all. Okay so maybe some of us get way to excited about it, but still it's not such a terrible thing. Unless you are spending all your time seeking stuff out, if you are, please find a real life.

I reckon we tend to pay more attention to tickling just because we're "wired" (as you might say) to take an interest in it.
I wouldn't call it pathetic, however I would consider it slightly obsessive (like my friend who would see objects and the first thing he would wonder is if he could juggle them). But then, isn't obsession one of the symptoms of a fetish?

One thing I've noticed, is that the more I expose myself (ahem) to tickling fetishism, and in particular the realisation that others are into what I'm into, has curbed my "excitement" about it somewhat. Not that I don't get interested by it, but it doesn't necessarily send my blood racing or make my knob stand to attention.

I dont think its pathetic, well, no more than a "normal" person getting excited because someone famous got theyre tits out within the media, its human to make a fuss out of things you enjoy, I love aggressive inline skating too, and if that ends up on a film or something then ide run home and tell all my skater friends just like ide come here if I saw something tickle related of some interest.

I think we are curious beings and when our curiosity is rewarded with what we were looking for, we make a little fuss about it, so ide say its natural.

Pathetic would be to spend every hour of every day searching thru the depths of the media trying to find ONE foot shot or tickling reference that no ones found yet...or something like that :0

I don't know about anyone else, but I tend to fixate on tickling and tickling related matter. My attention is automatically drawn towards such matters, unless I have more important things to do.

By law, shouldn't any sentence beginning with I reckon also contain the word y'all.

I think people notice these things less and less, the more they
do things in real life.

To be brutally honest, I don't give a damn about what other people think. It is however comforting to know that you're not on an island when it comes to having a fetish though... and the tickling shots don't do anything for me. I prefer a downward, relaxed shot of the toes.

It's airbrushed to hell and back, but it's such a beautiful pic.

Nope. Not pathetic at all. No different than someone who's into boobs seeing "implied" boobs through a skimpy T-shirt and thinking about motor boating.

Sometimes I really do feel as if people make it a bigger thing than it is. Segregate ourselves and feel bad about it.

I guess I'm weird among us, because seeing that stuff mainstream actually makes me uncomfortable, and I deliberately try to ignore it, because I don't want to appear the least bit interested in front of my wife, in order to avoid annoying comments about "I know what YOU'RE looking at!" That sort of ignorance reminds me of a recent episode of The Office:

"I can't handle jail! I'm not like YOU, Oscar."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Oh, you don't know about jail? You would LOVE jail!"

and the tickling shots don't do anything for me. I prefer a downward, relaxed shot of the toes.

That's interesting actually.

You don't key to tickling images, just foot pics as you described? Like not at all?

Same here. A lot of that stuff does zilch for me. Videos too. Guess I like my imagination to do the work. Plus most of the models look they just won the lottery and that's not my thing either.

Not at all. I just like the relaxed toe shots. While I'm not opposed to tickling entirely, it's not my proverbial cup of tea.

I was drawn to this site because of the foot fetish talk... and my fetish is for toes that ONLY look like the pic I posted and similar. That pic really turns me on, but girls that have a long morton's toe and stubby big toe do nothing for me. I'm kinda' strange like that.

What about Stories? Since you work more with your imagination then you would be able to create the characters within the written material. Where as with vids and pics they are already kind of self-created and "forced" into your head.

Nah, I personally think not. For me it's more that because it's directly linked to sex it's, it's like being a 13-year old boy getting all excited about seeing bare boobies on TV.

Okay but serious answer (imagine that...me being serious)...I guess I'm really open to everything these days. I find that my fetish is so weird that I am almost overly open to other people's fetishes. So I've reached a point where I don't find anything pathetic really. We can't really help what gets us going...it's in our genetic makeup.

However, if someone goes crazy each time the word is said, or when it shows up on tv or in life...that's taking it to a pathetic extreme. I don't think the content is pathetic...it's just what you do with it. If someone goes crazy for tickling, for boobs, or for anything else, it's pathetic regardless of the content (in my opinion).

And by "going crazy" over it...I just mean like over-doing your reactions toward it.

Whaaa? Wait. Was there a question in there? 😛

Sometimes any of the three.

We're certainly no more pathetic than any other group united by an interest. You should see some of the conversations I've had about armour.....pure geekdom.

Every one with a particular interest is well served by finding others with the same interest. Woodworkers have their forums, metal workers, architects, etc... It's just nice to be able to talk with people who understand that side of you.

Definitely a second nature thing too. Hunters notice wind direction and animal signs without looking for it, just second nature. Artists are easily distracted by color combinations and such that they're not consciously seeking out. So on and so forth. Most of us aren't tracking it down in our daily lives (ok, internet searches being a different beast), we just notice it.

Nothing wrong with all three. So long s pathetic isn't taken to a disgusting extreme...lol

I'm going with pathetic..

But the pathetic part is the deconstruction of said picture,

".. the foot isn't cute enough",
"she's got a weird middle toe.. ."
"I think the laugh was forced.."
"there should have been deep focus a la Citizen Kane.."...

Part of me wonders if all the exposure to tickling materials is taking away the magic, mystery romance and fantasy.. THE PLANE, BOSS...THE PLANE!

Love Tatoo.

I worry a lot about this, personally.

The thing is, whenever I hear about other fetishes, I think to myself "Who could ever be into that?"...and then if I happen to see a TV spot or an interview or something with someone who's into some of that other stuff, I tend find them a little pathetic...

It's terrible, I know, just pure prejudice. But it makes me feel a little pathetic whenever I consider our kink. 🙁
