That certain individuals on this forum who believe that the men here are only saying things only because women want to hear them? And that most of the men do not have their own personality. Basically they were saying the men on the forum are a bunch of pathetic pussy whipped girly men. What are your feeling about this? Do you believe there is any truth to it?

i'm sure there are males here that will say what they think females wish to hear..it's the nature of the beast..but not all males..just like some females will say what they believe males wish to hear..it's an equal opportunity game..

IMHO, it never works in the long run to tell people what they want to hear. After a while, they notice your lack of sincerity.
Only in the midst of coitus. Really no logical reason not to at that point.
In all honesty, I'm sure there a few profoundly lonely individuals here who fit just that description in the hopes they'll get a warm body out of it, but I don't generally see them among the regular posters.

Honestly, as a guy, I do think that there are a good number of guys that do that. But then again, there are a lot of women who bend over backwards to get the men to like them, ask them out, etc. So it's a two way street.

I don't think Iggy is bitter about this at all. I think I know where this stems from, and it's a valid point. A lot of us men who choose to stand by our fairer counterparts have been accused of such actions of late, and asking if it's true or not is a very valid question.
I never tell a woman what I think she wants to hear. First off, half of the time you think you know what a woman wants to hear, you're wrong. Second, if I can tell a woman the truth and be honest about things, and she's cool with that, then I know she's someone I really want to spend time with/get to know/do horrible but pleasant things to.
Nothing beats honesty, especially when dealing with the opposite sex. If you have to lie to think you're appeasing a woman's vanity, then you deserve the "whipping" you perceive to be thrust upon you, eh?

i say what i want, whenever. i only speak my mind, with few exceptions. if someone doesn't want to listen, they don't have to. regardless of age, sex, creed, color, etc, i never, eeeevvverrr just say something just because another wants to hear it. i never kowtow to others.

I am sorry if sound bitter and I do not know what I would be jealous about. The reason this thread is here and not in the general dissucssion fourm is because this not about men in general, but specific to men on this forum.
There have been allegations by certain individuals individuals that many men on this forum behave in a certain manner only because there are women on this forum. And If women were not present here, these men , in their opinion, would act in a completely different manner, and they would say completely diffrent things. There were even suggestions in some post that the men "should get back their balls".
I, for the life of me, had no idea what the hell they were talking about. I don't think this happens on a large scale here. I know, personally, I would act the same even if this somehow became all men's forum. I just wanted to see what other people had to say.

I think, in truth, many ladies know on occasion that guys will "convolute" the truth a little in our interaction with them......
this usually does not result in the relationship "crashing to its doom" in a fiery ball of flames......

I think actually most guys tell ladies the truth here, but they have a stunningly ineloquent or unrefined means of doing so, and wind up sounding like letches, greedy single-minded tickle-maniacs or just plain nuts (this excludes, of course, the more socially adept members who we have plenty of as well).
I think it's not just what you say but how you say it that helps in many conversations. Honesty without art can be ugly and sound stupid or be a grave error if the timing isn't right. Honesty delivered with a bit of intelligence, insight, creativity, and when called for, a touch of theater to establish mood or build anticipation, can really help things flow as you want. And I don't think that's necessarily telling someone what they want to hear. It's talking in a way pleasing to the ear and to the mind, and conveying your thoughts in an interesting way.

Oh yeah, theres nothing sexier to a woman than a guy with desperation oozing out of every pore 🙂 Obviously there are guys out there in forum land who for some reason or another are desperate, just like there are guys in real life who are the same. And yes it's pretty easy to tell from posts etc which guys these are. I imagine anyone with a bit of experiance has already spotted them as well.
That said, don't go around thinking its just the guys. I could (but won't) name some gals on this forum who are a little too keen.. and whose constant attention whoring and pandering to the male population i personally see as a way to hide desperation/insecurities.
Obviously I could be way off. And as for which catagory im in, iunno you'd have to ask the people i've talked to on here.

I think there are a few guys here that say what they THINK women want to hear, however there are a lot more guys that don't compromise who they are while still being polite, and unfortunately, there are even more guys who don't give a shit about anyone but themselves.
Also, women aren't stupid, especially most of the ones here. When a guy thinks he is "telling us what we want to hear" we can usually see right through it.

I can see at least one glaring example of this very phenomenon right here in this thread, so yeah I'd say it happens pretty frequently.
