Are younger siblings more ticklish?

Just something I've noticed. A lot of my friends who aren't the oldest are super ticklish, but a lot of my friends who are the oldest/only aren't ticklish at all.

Can't say for sure, but it seems that the younger ones get tickled a lot more, so maybe it just seems that way...

Back in school I used to get people and found the older one was more reactive.

Younger siblings tend to get tickled more by their older siblings so it looks that way, but it varies. I'm an only child but i'm pretty ticklish.

I'm the oldest in my fam and am hysterically ticklish, I know my sibs used to be ticklish but idk about lately.

I doubt there is a direct link, more of just a confirmation bias as there is only ever 1 'oldest' but can be many younger siblings. I'm sure that inflates the numbers and also the trend that it's usually the older sibs who do most of the tickling.

I have a slightly different take. Are older siblings more receptive to being tickled, since they were more likely to be the ones who tickled their younger siblings rather than be the victim of repeated tickle attacks? I've dated two women who were the oldest sibling, and they both enjoyed being tickled.
