well i have heard some weird stuff about how the world will end in 2012 and was wonderin wat u guys think

I don't think so. I do however, believe that the world will end in a few billion years, since stars cannot last forever. I believe the next stage in our sun's life is to expand into a red giant, and it'll engulf the first 3 planets, including earth. But I suppose by then we'll either have murdered ourselves somehow either by destroyng the ozone layer, or nuclear warfare, or maybe we'll find the technology to terraform other planets and leave... My guess is, that mars/saturn/jupiter will become like the 3 closest planets are now, since all planets do not start out whole. Saturn and Jupiter are not whole, so maybe by then they'll condense into actual planets, and we might go live on Jupiter! lol.

I think its important to note that theres a difference between the end of the world and armaggedon.

The end of the world can be brought about by any number of means, all which most people that take the issue seriously believe will happen in the distant future as opposed to soon.

Armaggeddon is a reference to the final battle between good and evil. Personally, this war is already over and has been decided, but people use the word armaggeddon because it sounds cool.

"The end of the world" however, like I said, that can come about by any number of means, but it won't for some time. The phrase itself "the end of the world" is open to so much interpretation. For some its death itself, thats the end of the world for a person, still others see a political agenda which will lead to mass murder and world wars.

Neither of these two paths are incorrect as they both lead to the same path. Whether its by a comet, an alien invasion, the sun exploding, or basically the happenings of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow", there will be an end. Not to all, but to some. I honestly don't see something happening that will destroy us all. There will be an end, but there will be a new beginning as well.

Besides, if the end times were near for us, wouldn't our 'good buddies' I referred to in my topic come help us out? 😛

I don't believe any of it. Hell, the most trained scientists on TV can't even accuratly tell me what the whether will be like tomorrow, why would I listen to anyone telling me the worlds gonna end?

Because eventually the sun will expand and engulf the entire Earth? Duh. But it's not like any of us will be around when it happens. That would be nice though, I'd like to live to see my 3,000,000,019th birthday, assuming I don't age one bit. 😛

I had my expiration date predicted.

...

I try to be optimist: I don't have to care about late retirement.

Hang on a minute. Vlad, what do you mean by this? "Personally, this war is already over and has been decided, but people use the word armaggeddon because it sounds cool." Are you saying that the battle of Armageddon has already come and gone? Please explain.

I think that Vlad is referring to the BIBLE. In Revelation, it talks about both, Armaggedon and The End Times. Even though the war in Heaven, between Satan or Lucifer and his followers against GOD and his followers, hasn't happpened yet [although some think that it has occured], the outcome is already known to us who read the BIBLE and go to BIBLE believing churches. Outcome is this = Satan and his followers lose and are cast out of Heaven into Hell. Hope this helps Ticklekiller.

I already know that Satan betrayed God and was cast from Heaven but, what I want to know is what Vlad seemed to be suggesting: That Armageddon has already taken place and the battle has been won. If that were so than why have we heard nothing of Satan and the beast being cast into the bottomless pit? Vlad, please explain.

Years ago I heard an asteroid is suppose to hit the earth around then. Then only a day later they said it will miss the Earth by so many miles. Government probably shut it up so it wouldnt cause mass hysteria. You can fidn the asteroid on the internet along with a few others, it gives axact day and everything.

Aah yes. The asteroid that's coming but I thought it was around 17 years away. Just imagine that thing slaming into the earth or better yet the moon.

I'm saying TK that the battle has already been decided. There are remnants of course, but only because God allows it as it will be instrumental and serve a purpose to us in some world events.

When I say "the battle has already been decided", its true. Lucifer lost the very moment, the very second he fell from grace. Because it was in that moment, that split second that he truely betrayed God and made an enemy of Him.

The Bible says that "war broke out in Heaven". This is very symbolic. The actual battle itself, the war, already happened, outside the gates. Lucifer, now Satan, has already lost. His fate was already sealed before he was banished actually.

So the actual confrontation has already taken place. Lucifer exhausted his war host in the first assault, if we're to take it literally as a war. Michael is now in command, and as you know, he's the one who actually cast Lucifer out of the heavens, not HEAVEN itself, since evil cannot exist there. God is the one who did the actual casting, created Hell, and sentenced Lucifer to it, as well as the other 1/3 of the angels that sided with him.

So see, this "armaggeddon" is really not as cosmic or as momentous as it's often made out to be. There will be another confrontation, but as Hue mentioned before I did, this is in the Book of Revelations. And we already know how that goes. Jesus himself will be the one to deal the final blow and end it, and Mary is said to play a part in the healing of the world thereafter.

The fact this was/is an unseen war makes it highly laughable to those that do not believe. Its just as much a spiritual battle than it is physical, and for us humans, its purely spiritual warfare. Any one of us who is a true servant of God knows this suffering and burden. But we needn't worry, because we're closest to Jesus when we are in suffering, pain, and trials. Did you know that TK? He's the strength, we aren't. Thats why God's people will never be destroyed no matter what hardships they may have to face, such as a "purging" by the anti-christ.

Actually, to be even more accurate, armaggeddon involves us just as much as it does heavenly beings and the damned.

See, the first confrontation was purely between Heaven and Hell.

But this time around, whats left of it that is, includes us because the physical aspect has already taken place. That was between them. But more and more of the spiritual war involves us humans because Lucifer doesn't really have the same army he used to, so he relies on his agents here on earth, his followers, and his practionioners to do his work and corrupt the world.

In the same way, we do God's work to counteract this.

So in retrospect, this "armaggeddon" is half finished. The first half is already over, that was a display of pure dominance of Heaven over Hell, and God over evil.

But this time around it relies on us, the chosen and the damned of the human race.

Well, if Earth is the deciding factor, then it seems as if evil has won. What makes the world go round? Greed, lust, ego, and especially VENGEANCE! It's in everyone and everything, ranging from the child cherishing his favorite toy, to the man who bangs his next door neighbor's wife! Not to mention, the media is ridden with it all like a plague. But not so much a plague as much as a blessing. I looooove seeing hot, naked girls lick on eachother! Don't you? Of course you do. 🙂

75% of the world is covered in darkness. Evil basks in it's arrogance, but theres always a rise and a fall to evil. And Earth itself is by no means the deciding factor of anything. Its really just a part of the sequence of events before the death and rebirth, that again, some people refer to as "armaggeddon".

Vipers will strike vipers. Evil will undo itself, it always does.

See, thats the problem, and why evil is flawed to begin with and imperfect. Evil by it's very nature is domineering, deceptive, and self-serving. It cannot, will not stand for others to be in control. It broods at the concept.

Suffice to say, evil turns on itself, especially when it's in control. Its only when its not that it finds something mutually beneficial and so cooperates with itself in others.

Its only when theres a mutual threat, namely the forces of good, that evil bands together to try and stop good from achieving anything. But when there is no good, or a lack of it, or it's underestimated and left alone, evil turns on itself because it has nothing else to turn to.

Theres no compassion in evil. Evil people cannot rest, they do not rest in a sense. They aren't happy unless they are making others miserable somehow. And when theres no target, they target themselves.

This sort of problem doesn't exist in goodness, because goodness is about life and continuation, and existance, and rebirth. Evil is about death, carnage, and destruction.

Pop culture makes evil cool, movies make evil cool, anime and comic book characters make evil cool, even the devil makes evil cool intentionally, its glorified as an underdog.

But really, when you get right down to it, in reality, evil is self-destructive and pitiful and never wins. Its one of the ultimate jokes there are yet it consumes so many people. Its sad though that in the end, the last laugh isn't on others, its on themselves.

Theres no peace or contentment in evil, thats why it thrives to outdo itself, even if that means setting a course to self-destruction. Evil isn't concerned with the future, its so selfish it wants RIGHT NOW, what power or control it can have NOW. Evil is impatient and mistrustful.

Its flawed in so many ways, as are the associated emotions attached and that often accompany evil deeds and thoughts.

Evil does not rest, and so all the quicker it's end comes about.

That's not what he meant. There's no need for me to address it either. As for a graphic description of female homosexuality, it will take more than that to provoke a true christian to anger. That remark *couldn't* have come from
the strongest of them. How many are in there anyway? Why do you occupy this person?

I'd forgotten that, DJ. Thankyou for pointing that out. You're a true friend and I'm honored to know you.

Man, you have no clue how hard it is trying not to lash out at everything the two of you say against "evil". You act like satan is out to get you, when the truth is, Satan *is* you. He's INSIDE of everyone, and "he" is what drives everyone. "He" doesn't have a name, and if you wanna get technical, is just our natural instincts and carnal natures....just chemicals. We're built "evil". Think of it this way: If you just grew up with nobody to really teach you how to be civilized or anything, and how to do anything really, you'd be very primitive, and driven solely by your carnal nature. Some of those are a good thing. If it makes you feel good, and isn't hurting anybody, is it really all that "evil"?

Sorry, but somebody who doesn't exist can't "win" anything. I'm still confused here. That statement was purely just to piss me off, and you know it. What are you fucking talking about? I don't remember making any remarks about female homosexuality. Moron.
