As AI video eventually nears perfection in terms of seeming real, will straight up non-con-style AI video content be allowed?

I ask because I could easily present both sides of this debate.

I'm really more interested in what other people think.

Since it's AI and not real people, I think just about anything goes. I see a not too distant future where you can put on a VR headset and walk into the tickle dungeon of your wildest fantasies. Now they just need to perfect the tactile sensations. 😈

Are you asking if it will be allowed here on the TMF or allowed by the software? I am already creating AI tickling videos with Grok. Most of them "could" be considered non consensual. It's artwork so fantasies should be allowed.

@brotherted

That's an interesting question. I suspect it will be regulated under the spirit of any laws that apply to existing content and media. We already have depictions of non-consensual activities of varying types and degrees in existing books and movies, both porn and mainstream. Whatever is allowed under that scope would probably vary quite a bit between the different AI platforms in the same way that Youtube and Pornhub have a lot of overlap in what their platforms do in a technical sense, but with a substantial difference in the material and subject matter. I do feel that if it is allowed without much or any limitation, it will accelerate interest in even tighter regulation of adult content in terms of attempting to prevent under-age access.

Going forward, as the general public's awareness of the technology's capability grows, I think it is very possible that there will be more pushback on regulating the generative aspects of AI. It feels like there are many converging grievances that might lead to that, like the vast number of creators who did not consent to their work being used as training material, potential copyright infringement for works that match existing styles or works, The growing number of those feeling disenfranchised by the economic displacement, and people who feel their likeness should not be available for free use by others.

I suppose we'll just have to see how it plays out, but we're living in interesting times for sure!

If the content looks real enough, it can run into the same issues as content made with real people as it pertains to compliance. Especially if this content is to be monetized or sold through normal channels.

The second potential issue is legal if the depictions resemble a real person’s likeness and or someone underage.

This is the part about which I'm curious. Clearly, there are non-con text stories and non-con animated videos all over the place, and no one seems to care. My question is about the day when the AI is good enough that it truly looks 100% real. And the question doesn't just apply to our little hobby on this platform, but in the larger porn community as well, when an AI r*ape or snuff video will be 100% indistinguishable from the real thing.

I don't happen think the day for this level of tech is far off. It could be in one or two years.

In another thread on this site, someone said Pornhub recently took down their tickling video because a model was saying "No" or "Stop" -- obviously a very common thing for a model to say in a tickling video. The producer appealed the removal, and Pornhub replied with the time stamp of when the model had said to stop, which Pornhub alleged was evidence of non-con, and therefore a terms of service violation. If I were to guess, AI is about to turn that whole way of thinking upside down.

AI is like a political movement that at first seems like a good idea but as it develops and the wrong people sense opportunity and start taking it over, what was intended for good turns into a monster with devastating consequences. AI is unique in that no rule and no law will be able to control it, certainly not in our society where government literally waits until the product exists before doing anything to control it or the quicker moving local governments are reined-in and prohibited from acting by the slower moving state and federal governments so they can't do anything but watch.

Even movies that are considered science fiction are seeming more like science prediction and give us a good indication of where it is going or could go. Certain aspects of AI "conduct" have already shown a tendency towards self-preservation. Once it gets out there, it is out there and there's no vaccine or virus scanner to stop it. It doesn't respect religion, morality or ethics and it is just a matter of time before mass-produced twisted content (which we likely can't even imagine yet) floods the mainstream overwhelming even the most effective human moderators. At the same time we are slowly being programmed to accept progressively more content that we would not have even considered viewing 10 or 20 years ago. We've got a lot to look forward to, the way things are going.

I've been thinking a lot about the movie "Forbidden Planet" (1956) where Dr. Morbius talked about how the ancient Krell race became extinct in a single night after firing up a machine that could turn thought into matter.

Our current state of AI or automation does not even come close to this level of technology, but the question at the heart of the movie is still relevant: If we could make any thought become reality, would our "monsters from the Id" destroy us?

At the moment things are a little bit strange - and they're gonna get stranger. There are so many things this technology will allow us to do in the kink space, probably things we haven't thought of yet. Realistic non-con videos are only one. Best believe there are others.😈

Porn...finds a way, so assume this type of content will be created.
It will be easy to do; it will vary in quality but be good enough to get off on; there will be a metric shit-ton of it.

Doing nothing has the potential to cause real harm to real people, if it hasn't already, in terms of reputation, livelihood, or mental well-being.
Responding with outright censorship will encourage the construction of spaces that will be harder to detect, even harder to police.

So here we are - an interconnected, globe-spanning fetish community engaged in conversation with itself about how far we can - and far we should - go with this still-evolving technology. This is good. We might not have answers we can all live with yet, but we will hone in on them.

In the meantime, let's keep talking.
