Can you be a vanilla and enjoy, even seek out getting tickled, and not have a fetish/thing for it?
Or do you think if you are asking to be tickled that automatically means you have a thing for it?
:snoopy:

For a simple answer, I'd say: either the person likes it or has never been tickled and wants to know what it feels like.

I think if you're getting sexually aroused from tickling someone or being tickled, I'd say it's a fetish.

But if you genuinely enjoy the sensations on a purely physical level, you're just someone who likes the tickle.

If you ask someone to tickle you I don't think that has to mean you automatically love it or have a fetish for it. It be merely for teasing purposes in a relationship or something. Now if you asked to be tied up and tickled for a long period of time it could mean you're interested in it orrrr you just like being tied and dominated haha. I think it would be bad to assume everyone who asks to get tickled has to be into it somehow, someway. Not true at all! :objection: lol

"Please, pass the salt"...... Oh, crap, my NaCl fetish is now exposed to the entire world!!! I also agree with TickleMeP1nk. Even on TMF, not everyone sees tickling as sensual every time. Tickling can be playful, teasing, relaxing and not just a "message with benefits" so to speak. You can enjoy the "social" aspects of tickling without it developing into a fetish.

Has anyone ever just bluntly asked to be tickled? :/

I only know one person that likes being tickled and she doesn't have a fetish for it. Not that I know lots of people hat DO have fetishes for tickling. Just to juxtapose with an actual reference for this question. People can like it without being completely into it.

"Oh just try to tickle me! I'm not ticklish at all!" Haha just happens randomly or maybe its used as a tease. Its a mystery lol.

Well, there's a lot of little children who like to be tickled and seek it from their parents. I highly doubt they have a fetish for it.

As long as you don't get turned on by it, you don't have a fetish. I like to have my back scratched, but it doesn't turn me on. Could be the same with tickling for someone else.

Me personally I have been looking for someone in my life who loves tickling. I love to be tickled and I ask for it alot......sometimes I will tickle a woman just hoping she will tickle me back. I have found that if you bring to someones attention that you have a tickling fetish or you love to tickle and be tickled, alot of the times people will show disgust or just verbally say they are not interested. At times I kinda feel like a freak around those vanilla assholes who are nothing but sex sex sex........I guess around them, tickling isn't a form of foreplay, it's a torture or just something they hate......
To each their own and I respect that..........But yes, if a person sticks their foot in your face and says tickle me,........then I say they like it alot or they are just requesting a little experiment time with it to see if they like it or maybe if they can tollerate it.
I personally can't take alot of it and if I am not tied down, I fight and squirm like no tomorrow. LOL:xpeepsofa

There are people who really like to tickle and/or be tickled, but it has nothing to do with sex. I know because I'm one of them. I like tickling because I think it's really cool in so many ways. I've traditionally referred to my interest in tickling as a "fetish," because that word seems to describe my atypical interest as well as any other. I've noticed that on this forum, the term fetish is nearly always interpreted as "sexual fetish," when in fact it is also used on occasion to describe any strong interest out of the ordinary.

So in answer to the question, asking for tickling doesn't automatically presume a sexual proclivity.

I never hesitate to ask a guy to tickle me, but not until i tickle him to send the silent message.... "I like to be tickled... it arouses me." Yes, totally a fetish for me.
