At what age did you realize Santa was not real

Hmmm...ya know, to be honest, I never really remember buying into the whole Santa thing....
 
Well, Santa is not really an issue here in Holland, it's just imported from the US. Here in Holland we celebrate a much older thing called Sinterklaas, from which Santa Claus was actually derived much later.

Basically the same thing, this old guy giving presents to children who have behaved well during the year, but instead of elfs he has black people as servants. Quite racist but nobody really cares because it's tradition.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! Don't let Cy/MiG see this! Do you know how hard some of us work to keep him believing in Santa Claus?!? Besides, what about all the minors here, badly pretending to be adults? We don't want to ruin anyones life by letting the cat out of the bag. :facepalm:
 
Whatever age it was when my parents closed my door, telling me to sleep, and then I heard them shuffling around and moving large boxes across the floor with the noise of crinkling wrapping paper floating throughout the house.
 
There was never a specific age. I just always knew he wasn't real and didn't understand why the Christian kids didn't realize that too.
 
I think I was about 6. I recognized my dad's handwriting. Besides, my older brother screamed it at the mall when I was around 6.
 
My parents made it fairly obvious that Santa was a metaphor from a fairly young age. I probably realised it was my parents filling my stocking etc from about the age of 3 or 4, as I can't remember any Christmasses before then.

Lol. Okay I was about 10 or 11. I noticed the writing on the presents was my mom's.
 
Kinda suspected all along...

Came to realize it around 8-10.

Parents told me shortly after I put it together myself.

I took it in stide; kinda don't want a fat old man visiting my house and watching me all year anyways. 😀

Do you have ANY idea how many times I had to break into your house to eat those damn cookies to keep up the illusion that Santa was eating them?? Then I had to run away into the night while your parents chased after me? That ain't easy man...

I was seven years old and I walked up to my mother while she was reading and distracted and I said "Mom, is there really a Santa?" and without looking up, she said "No."
 
When I was about 6, I caught my parents dragging a sack of toys into my bedroom.
Apparently Santa left it in their room by mistake.
I called bullshit.
 
3. I got up to go to the bathroom and saw the parents wrapping presents. It was kind of sad now that I think about it.
 
What do you mean, he's not real?!? He is too real. He comes every year on Christmas Eve to visit my family and personally delivers us Christmas presents. LOL!

I was probably 7 when I finally figured out that Santa Claus wasn't real. When one of your uncles disappears and supposedly is in the "bathroom" every year when Santa visits, uh, yeah, you start putting two and two together. 😀
