Fellow artists,
As it is very clear, Yahoo! has deleted countless groups, and e-mail addresses. In some instances they have been restored, and in some they have been restored without the authority of the original owner. IE- The owners are shut out of their own group.
I have spoken with Tickle Theater and its owner, and he has agreed to allow us artists to use his forum site as a headquarters for our art. He will provide us with the means we need, and all will be well and good again. There is talk of each artist having his/her own forum and having full mod. authority over it. Essentially, this is like our current groups, yet is far better in every way, and it insures we all get our fair share of the lime light. Given the fact that it is already a community in and of itself, hits for each artist will increase, and both we and Tickle Theater will prosper from this mutual agreement.
However, its necessary for me to relate to you all that there are some requirements before you could actually become apart of this arrangment. I've been told that Tickle Theater wants artists who have a good ammount of work to upload. Obviously, if your an artist who updates infrequently or only on occasion or your in and out all the time and we hardly hear from you, this may not work out for you.
Other than that, it would appear based on what he (Tickle Theater) told me that he is eager, wanting, and willing to make an extension on the art section there, and create sub-forums for each individual artist who can bring something to the table.
This is of course good news in a time where Yahoo! and its intentions are uncertain, and we are all at risk of losing something, anything, or everything.
In closing, I would like to ask each of you that is interested in this deal to post now so I can talk to Tickle Theater and give him a roundabout idea of how many artists he can expect to join in.
Kindest personal regards,
- Damien
