Atva's Workshop (*/fff, a pixie, a knight, and a priestess)

Sounds like the opening of a joke...

Anyway! Here's a picture I've been working on for a bit. It's based on the characters in a D&D game I played once. From left to right we've got Ai, the priestess, Ko, the knight, and Alassë, the pixie. Atva, for whom the workshop is named, was a gnome that we knew. Like any good D&D gnome he was in a constant state of tinkering with mechanical objects.

Tonight, it looks like the girls have tried getting into his workshop when no one was looking. I can only guess at the reason. And for their troubles, they find out some of the more interesting uses for Atva's creations. He's probably upstairs, sleeping, with earmuffs on. In the morning he might turn off his gadgets.

Fantasy settings are totally the best for tickles. Plus it's so easy with D&D. Especially if you look at the spell index.

Thanks dude. n_n But no, I wasn't the knight. Seems to be a popular guess from those I've asked, though. Glad you enjoyed the pic. 🙂

They really are great for it. And since I love fantasy anyway, they're a favorite of mine. I really should draw more stuff like that. You're totally right, though. After all, pulled from v. 3.5...

My friends always assumed the spell made someone laugh like they'd gone insane. I read the components. I knew better. 😉

Heh, I so need to get into D&D et al at some point. I feel like I've carved out my only little niche as a bit of a geek who doesn't actually have anything to be geeky about.

But yeah, wow, a lovely drawing. I may be in love with the expression on Ai's face too, who I'm guessing was your character. Probably. Hmm.

Yeah, they're really great for it. When I started on an MMPORPG a while back, I thought it would have been nice to establish a guild or similar establishment where people could do stories or art based on their fantasy characters that they worked so hard to raise. However, it seemed like a lot of work so I never did it. ;p I think I'm going to write some stories with mine as 'lers at some point though.

You should really draw more in that vain. Nothing like seeing the character lose their powers to the tickledom.

Another item in the D&D book that I recall was a spell that summoned tentacles. It was a high ranking sorcerer spell as I recall. You could spread them out and they'd have a certain reach span. Seemed like a tickle spell to me.

David.s - I'd totally recommend it. If you can find a good group to play with, D&D is a blast. n_n Glad you like the pic. But no, I wasn't Ai, either. Believe it or not, I was Alassë.

FF7 - Guilds are a lot of work, from my understanding. >_> And I think I might do more with fantasy stuff in the future. It is practically my favorite genre. I think I remember the tentacle spell, too. Any immobilizing spell would work, but that one sounded particularly good.
