When Ross got to the office, he made his hellos to those he worked with.
"Ross, you look wonderful. That vacation which Kayley and you took seemed to really agree with you" Vic said.
"Thanks, Vic, we really needed it. Hope you're okay. What's going on here?" Ross said.
"Steve called. He said he wants to talk to you about something potentially important" Vic said.
"Okay, I will call him now" Ross said.
"Ross went into his office, closed the door, and called Steve. :"Good Morning, Ross, how was your vacation?" Steve said.
"Just fine, sir, and how are you?" Ross said.
"Excellent. I was wondering if you could spare a couple of days to fly down here. I would like to introduce you to some potentially interesting and important people" Steve said.
"Okay, give me one day to clean up some work around here. Can we do dinner tomorrow night in OKC?" Ross said.
"Let me know what time your flight gets in, and I will pick you up at the airport" Steve said.
"I will. Thanks, my friend" Ross said.
Ross then called Fritz. "Mister P, Good morning, sir"
"Morning, Ross, how was Vegas?" Fritz said.
"Excellent, how are you and the Mrs?" Ross said.
Just great, thanks. " Fritz said.
"I will be there this week as promised. Steve wants me to fly into OKC tomorrow night. I will be there no more than 24 hours, then I will hop down to see you, is that okay>?" Ross said.
"Oh, yes, Steve told me about that, I will come up to OKC and we can all have dinner. We have a surprising new offer for you" Fritz said.
"Okay, see you both tomorrow night" Ross said.
Ross then called Tim Patrick. "Tim, good morning?" Ross said.
"Morning, buddy, how was Vegas?" Tim said.
"Excellent, how are you and your wife?" Ross said.
"Fine" Tim said.
"I'm home in the office. Monthly campaign will go out by morning no matter how late I have to work. I have to go to Oklahoma and Texas tomorrow for two or three days to see Steve and Fritz, but your work will be done by then" Ross promised.
"Just fine. Have a good day" Tim said.
"You also my friend" Ross said.
Ross spent that day hard at work finishing Tim's campaign. He also made a flight to OKC for the next night.
At 630, he left the office. "I have to get out of here. I will be in tomorrow, then gone to OKC and Houston the rest of the week, will be back in Monday" Ross said.
"Okay, Ross, have a good night" Vic said.
When Ross got home, Kayley was waiting for him.
"7 pm sharp. Good job, student" Kayley said, kissing Ross.
"How was your day, Babe?" Ross said.
"Better now that you're here" Kayley said.
"Kale, I have to tell you something" Ross said.
"Nothing could have happened the first day back?" Kayley said.
"No, well you know I have to go to Texas. I told you that. I also have to see Steve in OKC about something. Three days. Do you want to come with me, or do you have to stay here?" Ross asked.
"Stay here. School,. remember? I will expect you home by Saturday morning at latest?" Kayley said.
"Friday sometime if I can help it" Ross said.
The next day Ross worked a short day at the office, took an afternoon plane to OKC and was met at the airport curbside by Steve and Fritz.
"Gentlemen, good to see you both" Ross said.
"You too, Ross." Steve and Fritz said.
The men went to dinner at a steakhouse, ordered drinks, exchanged pleasantries, and got to business.
"Ross, I asked you down here to see if you wanted to be involved in a new venture with me. A friend of mine is starting a new oil and gas company. Our put in for the three of us is one mil each. He also has a hundred other investors ready to go., In addition to our return, We split any profits four ways"Steve said.
""Sounds good. Is there a chance of setting up either a conference call at your office or meeting these people while I'm here?" Ross said.
"We can all have dinner tomorrow night. These guys are eager to meet you" Steve said.
"Fine"
Ross said.
The next day, Ross and Steve discussed some other business at Steve's office, and then went to dinner with Fritz, and the two other men involved that night.
"Ross, we are Ben Rosefield and Eaton Landon, nice to meet you"
"Good to meet you both" Ross said.
When all of the men sat down to dinner, they discussed the venture.
"We've heard what an excellent businessman and fine guy you are,. We really want you in with us on this deal" Ben said.
"Money is no issue. I can either do a small short term loan, or sell off some holdings I have that I dont use" Ross said.
"We would like to ante up and start and sign in 30 days. " Eaton said.
"Fine, as soon as I get back to New York, I will contact my attorney, money will be transferred to your company within the week, and we are ready to go" Ben said.
After dinner, Ross commented to Steve about the meeting.
"That went very well. Thanks, guys I am definitely in, and we are ready to go" Ross said.
"You can leave tomorrow if you want to go home and dump the companies you want to. Nothing much else to do here" Steve said.
Ross looked at Fritz.
"You can some back to Texas to meet with me next month on my stuff. It can wait, this is far more important" Fritz said.
Ross went back to his hotel, and made an early morning plane to JFK the next day.
"I will be home tomorrow. This went amazing. Will fill you in when I get home. I want to run into the office for a couple of hours when I land just to check some things, then I will be home early" Ross said. when he called Kayley .
"You sound happy" Kayley said.
"Something potentially great happened. I need to go into the office and figure out what companies I dont need which I can get rid of to raise a million big ones, then I will be home when you are" Ross said.
"Okay, fly safely, and have fun" Kayley said.,
The next morning, Ross took his flight to JFK, hopped in an Uber, and went to the office.
"That was a good trip. Vic. We need to look at any company we are doing nothing with, and sell it off immediately even for even money or a small loss. I need a million dollars to do something potentially amazing. I dont want to touch any of RossShell's existing capital or the mall money" Ross said.
"Yes, sir, we will do" Vic said.
That day. Ross called people he knew and sols ten small companies he never used, to get the million he needed,. then he called Steve.
"One mill will be transferred to you in the next 2 days, send me the papers, and we are off and running"
Ross said.
"Thanks, my friend. You will be happy you did this deal. You are going to make a mint of money. We all are" Steve said.

"How was the Southwest?" Kayley said.
"Great. Just sold off some piece of shit companies that RossShell does not need. I am going into the oil and gas business" Ross said.
Kayley had to control herself from giggling.

"No wisecracks, wife. I knew a guy when I was younger, who was an accountant, and he and his business partner a lawyer, started an oil and gas business with a guy who knew oil and gas, and they all made a mint" Ross said.
"Okay, sorry, have fun" Kayley said.
When Ross tried to fall asleep that night. He felt .. happy, but was also in unchartered territory for him.
RossShell was still his priority,
