I know Mimi has mentioned this in the chat tonight, and I just want to echo, but the weather sucks tonight! Mimi said there were tornado watches and warnings for Wisconsin, and here in Lancaster we've had severe thunderstorms almost all night. The forecast here is for hot humid weather with on and off storms all week. I like summer and warm weather, but these severe storms are soo annoying. I used to live in NJ near NYC as most of you know, and it seemed like we never got as much severe weather up there as we do here. It is just awful. We have had a lot of rain this year. It would be nice to see some nice dry sunny days for a change.

There has indeed been lots of bad weather. My brother and sister-in-law were in VA for a reenactment this weekend. The storms in the area knocked out power and 911 communications in the area and kicked up so much stuff that my s-i-l ended up in the hospital with a severe asthma attack. There were 7 reports of tornados...though I'm not sure if they were all confirmed or not. We've been lucky here in CT so far. Though we've had some strong winds and heavy rain a couple of times, the real severe stuff usually fizzles out before it gets to us.

We've had really bad lightening the past couple of days and a flash flood watch to boot. Who said spring comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb now?

I could use less rain...but I love a good lighting storm!
 
We wound up lucking out last night, and for all the tornado warnings and storm warnings they issued, we only wound up with a few mild thunderstorms. Minnesota got their asses kicked by that storm though, before it crossed over into Wisconsin. I believe they said on the news there was somewhere in the vicinity of 7-11 tornado's that touched down in MN last night. Fortunately for us, the storm apparently lost a lot of it's oomph as it passed the MN/WI border.

I do, however, hope that all of our members in MN made it through last nights storms safely.

I was glad the stormy weather held off till Sunday night Mitchell I was in that truck convoy for the Make A Wish foundation that day Hopefully this summer won't be a drought like it was back in 2002
