The no socks in the house rule applies even when traveling. Even though our cabin had some heating issues I have to say rules are rules.

Outside the house, including the car, shoes and socks are ok.

Shoes and socks come off at the door. She never really wears nylons but if she did they can stay on as long as the toes are visible through the material. If it's too opaque we consider them to be socks.
