Batman Begins The Movie We Have Been Waiting For!!!!

This is one movie I look forward to seeing Looks like a great summer for movies so far
 
Yeah, from the trailers I've seen, it looks like it'll almost be as good as the animated movies (hell, he even sounds like the animated Batman in the trailer when he yells Rachel's name).

Another thing I can't wait for is the game (isn't it supposed to be out really soon...before the 20th, at least? Whoohoo!)...

Some game mags have said the controls were good this time...about damn time!(I know Rise of Shin Tzsu has okay controls, but I want a Batman game that's more than "go right, beat up thugs, beat up boss, repeat " At least in this one you get to scare the crap out of thugs to make them fight less, or not fight at all )

If the game is at least half as good as the movie, then this might be the best Batman game ever (unless they eventually make one similar to Spider-Man 2)

I so knew you were going to be the first to post on Batman Begins, I'm actually happy you liked it, I know you have a similar passion for comics to film being done right.

I just got in from seeing the movie... Wow is all I gotta say and actually, I have to say thank you to DC for giving the true Darkknight, his true beginning.
I brought my buddy who is good at picking out flaws in movies, not in the bad way like others and all he could say at the end was... that was flawless.

I'm not going to give out any spoilers either, I'm biased, by natural of my own persona but they really made me feel like Batman would scare the crap out of me. Great intimination from my Icon/hero, like I thought he should be as a kid.

Hope others in the forum will enjoy it as we have.
I'm confused though... what does the Joker card in Gordon's hand mean? Ok, ok... I'm so being quiet now. 🙂

Well DC, bring on the man of steel in the same fashion. Sorry General Zod. 🙂

The new suit doesn't bother me for Supes, I guess it should but it doesn't. The curl they gave him for the hair.. well, that bugged me. Come on, do Kryptonian males have the front part of their scalp mutated by the Earth's Sun to grow long and twirl? I didn't see one on Zod!
A great story will get us past the new suit on Kal-El, just like when they didn't make Wolverine short for the X-men movie. I got over that after seeing the movie.

I'm going tomorrow night again to see it, I just loved this Batman movie!
I didn't get to be an extra, my buddy kept reminding me of that when we were watching the trailers. The part where they were trying out the Tumbler, that huge warehouse, that's where we were in line for the auditions, so in a way I felt like I was part of the movie. My "essense" was there. lol. I know, I was reaching. When they do the sequel, hopefully they come back to Chicago, I will really try to get on as an extra. I'll put on the charm, especially if it's the same casting director assistant that gave me hope last time. 🙂

The Flass interrigation made me clench my fist and say out loud, "Yeah man, that's frickin' Batman right there!".

Everything in this movie was done right. Even Alfred. That scene where he is crying as he is driving Bruce back was just amazing. I still think that Mask of the Phantasm was a bit better, but this was flawless.

How about when he was interrogating Flass. Straight out of the animated series.

It kicked sooooooooooooo much fucking ass I may have to wear my Batman underoo's tonight.

Dark, great action, Gotham City looked sick, the Batmobile rocked!

It destroyes all other Batman flicks, the first one is awesome, but this one is ranked if not better then the first.

I know some people are gonna come here and over analyze it, regardless, this movie kicked some serious ass!
 
I've seen it , guys , & I'm sorry .... I'm not that impressed. While I'm not the world's biggest Batman fan to begin with ( Marvel - Zombie , 'nuff said ) , I gotta say that this film ( along with every other Batman film ) neglects one of the most important aspects that makes Batman "BATMAN" ..... he's the worlds greatest detective! You don't see any of that here. Also , I feel that it is a HUGE mistake for the Bat-franchise to continually try to give Bruce/Batman a love interest. It just doesn't work. Besides , I couldn't stand Katie Holmes in this movie. I was hoping Mr. Bale would've slapped her at least once. Another thing :the fight scenes were sloppily edited & too confusing to follow. I've got more gripes , but I don't wanna give any of the plot away for those who have yet to see it. ........ just my two cents ........
 
Maybe the best movie of the year yet and, in my opinion, the best batman ever created. More drama than action and thats EXACTLY what this its all about. After hating the first pics of it, I just loooooved the new batmobile, a character of its own. Batman doesnt need a slick sportscar, he needs a tank like that. Nolan made the most realistic batman yet, he explains almost every origin of batmans trademarks. The new costume was great, explained realistically too, finally without nipples again and Bale really seems up to the challange of playing the Dark Knight. His looks and muscles just fit in there, kudos, after that torturous "Machinist" he was going through.
The Hans Zimmer/James Newton Howard score was awesome too. Now I'm really looking forward to the next one (Bale signed on for 3 movies!) 😉

Well, I agree about the love-interest thing... but it seems to be a cast-iron Hollywood law that movies like this HAVE to have a romance... too bad: I just try to ignore it...

The detective thing... well I agree, but it doesn't bother me because there will probably be more movies to come. This one was already crowded with all the background and exposition... I can understand why they didn't try to shoehorn in a mystery plotline as well. Patience... maybe the next flick, with Two-Face...

The fight scenes... it might help you enjoy them more if you stopped thinking of them as "fight scenes", like from a martial arts movie... look at them like a horror-movie instead, with Batman as the monster and the terrified crooks as his helpless victims... I don't want to post spoilers for those who haven't seen the flick yet, but at least once a bad guy just gets YANKED into the darkness... something BAD is happening to him but we aren't sure what... and we never see him again.... fun!!
 
Boober (asutickler) and I just got back from seeing this movie. All I can say is impressive!!! I absolutely loved it! This is one movie we will be buying on DVD when it comes out :triangle:

As in the detective statement, this was Batman Begins, he's just starting out. He's just made a contact with Gordon, he's rebuilding the Batcave, give him a chance to become the Detective. He will be, I'm not worried.

I agree, that Tumbler has it's own character, I don't even like calling it a Bat-mobile, Batman doesn't. 🙂
