Batman filming in Chicago..guess what?

Apearantly the teaser trailer was pulled from I-Robot

Batman Trailer No-Show
No preview with I, Robot.

July 16, 2004 - According to Cinescape, Warner Bros. originally cut a deal with Fox to attach the new Bat-trailer to prints of the Will Smith sci-fi actioner, I, Robot, but someone at Warners pulled the plug. Previews for a couple of less anticipated flicks, Catwoman and Exorcist: The Beginning, may be substituted.

Additionally, the site reports that fans won't be seeing the Batman Begins trailer in front of Catwoman (opening on July 23) either. They speculate that it could debut at Comic-Con International, which takes place next week in San Diego.

There's a Batman Begins panel at Comic-Con on Friday, July 23 (from 12:30-2:00). The scheduled guests include screenwriter David Goyer and actor Cillian Murphy, who portrays Dr. Jonathan Crane/The Scarecrow in the film.

It's possible that the trailer will show up there, but our best sources indicate that it'll most likely be attached to Fox's Alien vs. Predator when it releases on August 13.

No word yet. Hate to be negative about it but, this is the last week. Some streets are being closed tomorrow already as actual filming begins Aug 2. Crossing my fingers one last time....

DK, what streets? For, um....traffic avoidance purposes 😀

Seriously, it'd be pretty cool to check out, if it's public viewing. Do you know what part of the city they're filming in?

Heh well August 1st I plan to be at Wrigley Field watching Greg Maddux get his 300th victory, so I don't think downtown traffic will be a concern! Thanks for the info though. Could be cool to swing down at some point

First two studio shots of the Batman suit with Bale in it

I still don't like the short ears.

Yep, I don't like too much the short ears neither, but this are Batman's first steps as a vigilante. And his suit was kinda like this. If you've read "year one" you'll understand it.

If there were any comic books from my youth that I wish I still had, it would be the Detective Comics with Dennis O'Neil and Neal Adams. They were an incredible team, with outstanding art and plots.

Amen, my brother, amen.

tklr5150,

I'm thinking about being at the Cubby Bear with a few friends for that game since it doesn't look like my phone will be ringing.
Damn tickets are still brutal to buy even with how we've been playing.

Someone send me some tickets!!! 🙂

I guess I just miss the big pointy ears from Returns, as you can see in Batmans Icon. I am glad they fixed the neck. I mean the way it was done in the First set of movies closely resembles how it was in the comics, but doesn't work for a man who needs to be able to turn his head to see attacks. In reality, A guy in the suits from the first set of movies would be at a complete disadvantage in a fight. Although all of the actors have said that the one thing it would have done is protected him from bruises or pain getting hit. I remember Kilmer fell onto the helicopter pilon during the filming of Batman Forever, and he said the way he fell on his ribs he should have broken them but he didn't fell a thing, and no bruises. They all said they know how an elderly person felt like wearing the suit. Could barely move, see, or hear, and you can't turn your neck. Also, they had to build a piss receptacle into the groin area of the suit so that they didn't run into the problem that Keaton would run into in the first movie. It would take a half an hour to an hour to get him into it and he would have to go take a leak, and he had to hold it for a half an hour to get him out of it.
