Be honest

My suggestion is, since they are so tedious to do, that you could drop them from your pictures that use a more cel shaded style or denser line quality, like "Suiseiseki" or "Haruhi vs Noel." In those images simpler hair shading wouldn't detract from the picture, I don't think. But a picture like the visual extravaganza like "Ribs Grow Back," with its softer shading and heavy use of textures overall would benefit a lot more from the more detailed hair texture.

What do you mean by "denser line quality"?

You can see it pretty clearly in your picture of Jackie as opposed to your picture of Akane. Akane's lines tend to be thicker and more numerous to give a sense of shape and depth. A picture like that could stand without textures more easily than the one of Jackie.

...shit, I hadn't even noticed. I forgot to add the same layer setting to his lines; xD.

Normally I apply the thicker lines to lineart images, and the thinner ones to coloured work. Thanks for pointing it out; that was totally unintentional. I'll fix that right now.

IMO no need for such high-tech-SF textures. Since it's all in very distinguishing anime line work, Normal light/shade will suit it better. The background and other stuff too.
And yet, it goes well with the rest, if you really have to use these textures in your images at all.

personally I like it a lot, but im not an artist so its difficult to give you any kind of decent constructive criticism. However like I said, I think it looks good.
