Beards: Yay or Nay?

I'm on the fence about growing a beard. I've done so in the past (on a few occasions), and have had a goatee, chinstrap and a full beard. I usually just have 'lazy stuble', because, frankly, shaving is a pain. So I want to know what everyone thinks of beards. Do you love them? Hate them? Are you indifferent to them?

So here's the question: Beards, yes or no? If Yes: why and what kind; if No: why not?

The question is open to all, opinions and suggestions encouraged!

I second this notion. In fact regrowing mine out since like an idiot I decided to shave mine. Its not me without my goatee.

I definitely prefer clean shaven men, unless there's a weak chin, or no upper lip to hide, which I automatically presume is the case when I see facial hair.

Yes, this is pretty much the ONLY reason why I wear a beard. Weak chin? Haha. How about NO CHIN! I've had to endure the cruelty of other kids and so-called friends making fun of me. Believe me, without a beard I am uglier than I am with one.

I think it is depend on who is wearing it, someone looks better with one,someone should better shave it.
For the tickling-reason a beard is tickling like hell, that's why i beg mao to my hubby to shave his total face as soon/lot as is possible... 😉

ouchies? My face feels like sandpaper when I shave, not when I quit shaving for a week. 😛

And besides, you never need to sniff your fingers anymore to know what you've been up to last night, just sniffing your moustache does the trick 😀

I love beards, however, they have to be shaped and trimmed, not just all bushy and you can't see the chaps mouth.

I'm not a lover of clean shaven, I don't like it when its only a few days growth as that stubble is hell on my face and other parts.

I love the siddies too, when they are longer and shaped, wow delish! Yum 😀

Well, I'm weak in many ways so perhaps that's why I wear my goatee. 😀 Actually, I must side with Milagros; it's just easier to let the chin be. I was commanded to grow it sophomore year of high school and I've left it to its own devices ever since. 😀

I`m with Mils...

There is sooo much more to life than getting up early everyday to scrape your face RAW!!!! My company requires me to keep mine trimmed,or I`d look like the Apostle John coming out of the desert...😉 Well,that,and getting it caught in flight controls kind of sucks as well...OUCH!!! Mine is anything BUT bristly-I`m not going to scrape you up with it!

Also,as Elite points out,it IS playoff time! GO HABS!!!!!

Nay, nay, nay! Gotteees especially, make me think of an evil villain from a James Bond movie. As for sideburns, those are rather attractive on many guys 🙂 Go for that. Stubble is very nice as well, but not so long that it looks like you've been not taking care of yourself.

I like my beard... though it's really just a tiny bit of facial hair, I keep it well trimmed.

Without it, I look about 14. With it, I actually look 18, give or take a couple years.

Since My girl does not like me to shave and I only do it once a year for encampment I would have to go with a yay on beards. I do keep it trimmed and not too short so the prickle factor is kept low.
