Belichick (football god)

Dont you mean football's sorest loser, Bitter Belichick.

Leaves the field not staying for the final knee-down.

I wish the Giants had kicked a Field Goal....would have been perfect justice.

Go buy a suit you jerk.

Head coach Mike McCarthy of the Green Bay Packers is the 2007 Motorola NFL Coach of the Year, Motorola and the NFL announced today.

That one actually makes sense. Romeo Crennel could have too, if the Browns could have squeaked into the playoffs.

I don't know guys...there's a guy in NY named Coughlin that would get my vote as Coach of the Year. I was at the parade in Manhattan yesterday and I'd probably have a million people agree with me. :triangle:

Perhaps. As far as the regular season went, he didn't really do anything that shocked me (and it is a regular season award). Sure, his team dominated on the road, but what's up with them not being able to win at home? Just seemed a little inconsistent.

To me, Coach of the Year is about doing more in the regular season than anyone expected you to do, given your roster. That narrows it down to McCarthy and Crennel in my opinion. Actually, throw Jack Del Rio in there, too, and pretty high up there.

Certainly not Belichick -- he had arguably the most talent in the NFL, and everyone expected them to dominate. They didn't even need a coach.

Yeah....I'm thinking Tom Brady and the defense might have had a little bit more to do with the Pats' success over the years than Shithead Bill. (Sorry, Pats fans...I don't hate the Pats, I actually like them...but I can't stand Bill one bit.)

Anyone remember how much of a genius Bill was when he guided the Cleveland Browns to...ummm....errr...ummm...well, nothing?

It wasn't just the leaving the field thing in the Super Bowl that pissed me off. It was the concession speech after. Most other coaches, in defeat, have shown grace and poise, or at least professionalism, in accepting defeat. Bill's apparent and utter disinterest in even saying anything at all, least of all acknowledging the great play of the Giants, seemed to me the actions of a man who has come to the harsh realization that he does not, in fact, have wings or control the tides.

I hope the Pats get another coach soon, so I can start liking them again.

My sister-in-law, back in the day, used to refer to him as Belichoke.

A cute use of his name, if nothing else.
