Whenever the Dodgers are here in NYC, to play the Mets at CitiField or the Yankees at Yankee Stadium, I buy good seats as soon as tickets go on sale. Good seats are not cheap here. 🙁 Good, but not excellent, seats go for between $100 and $150 these days.
Yesterday, looking over the baseball schedule for the day, I saw that the Mets would be hosting the putrid motherfucking hated jints bastards. Given that those putrid motherfucking hated jints bastards are in 4th place in the NL West, I expected that demand for tickets would be less than usual with lots of seats available at the last minute. (In fact, attendance was under 25 thousand.)
I went online and found a seat on field level for $6 on the resale market. I had to actually pay $9.44 with the convenience fee and delivery charge. (Delivery charge? A ripoff--the delivery is as a PDF attached to an email.)
The late innings of the game were most enjoyable! The Mets fell behind in the first inning, 2-0, and the score was still 2-0 after six and one-half innings. In the bottom of the 7th inning, Conforto hit a sacrifice fly to left, and rookie McNeil scored. Later in the bottom of the 7th, Jackson singled to left and Flores scored. That made the score 2-2.
In the bottom of the 8th inning, that same rookie McNeil doubled to left with two out, and Reyes scored. After an intentional walk to Flores, Conforto homered to left center (379 feet), so McNeil and Flores scored ahead of him, making the score 6-2. Four runs scored in the bottom of the 8th, all after two were out!
Final score: Mets 6, putrid motherfucking hated jints bastards 3
Thank you, Mets. That was the best $6 that I ever spent.

with her toenails painted orange, the exact shade of orange matching the color of the "SF" on her t-shirt and cap.
Talk about mixed feelings!
