I'm trying to make backups of some music CD's (I'm not putting my original disks in my car stereo). I need to find a decent software option for burning these disks. Windows Media Player can supposedly do it, though I haven't had any luck with that and the tutorials I found online were useless). Do any of you have any good alternatives you can suggest? I did try RecordNow and it crashed my computer.

I'll welcome any suggestions.

I am aware of Infrarecorder and CDBurnerXP. Both are free and might work for you. I never burn CDs (aside from disk images, for which I use a simple tool that likely won't help you) so I don't know if these will serve your needs completely or not.
