This is prior to Green Day's Album "Warning" that came out in 2000. That was the beginning of the end for a band that was truly amazing in the 1990s. Unfortunately, it seems like most great bands of the 1990s went down the tube once the century turned.
Look at Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, the Offspring, ect.....Once they got a little older, a little richer, and reached a different point in their lives, the quality of their music went down significantly.
"Nimrod" was their last great album. Maybe they should listen to the new Screeching Weasel album, and remember their roots!
Those three albums; plus, their first few albums with Lookout Records!! Don't forget Billie Joe in Pinhead Gunpowder!
Yea, I'm not a fan of "political" Green day. Their last two concept albums have been dogshit meant to sell big to middle school kids that don't know any better. They may still call themselves Green Day, but the Green now stands for money in their pockets.
Nope. They are just a trio of douchebagery. Why are they copying off of Korn, and need a second ensemble of musicians?
I agree ndj!!
But, will stop because they did kick ass in the 90's.
I guess they're trying to think for themselves. Why?
They did kick ass in the 90's, but unfortunately, with growing legions of fans and fortune comes personality changes. It's like anything else. A rapper off the streets may be badass on his first couple of albums, but once your realize he's rich as shit, you stop enjoying his rapping about being "ghetto" when you know he owns 3 feraris and a mansion the size of the block you live on.
That's the truth!!! Just watching MTV Cribs.
