Best Super Bowl Team Ever?

Hmm.. hard to say on this one. I'm gonna go overall with the Steelers. Any team that can win 4 superbowls in 6 years and make the playoffs and just miss making the big game in one of those two years they did miss.. well, I gotta give it to the curtain boys.

Honorable mention would go to the 49ers. You just didn't beat Montana (and the niners) in the clutch. period.

One year wonders? The 72 Dolphins and the 85 Bears. Although the Dolphins will go down as one the greatest ever. How many teams can get blown out 24-3 and not only return to the superbowl but actually win the superbowl the next two years? The Dolphins are NOT a one year wonder. The 85 Bears are.

Overall consistency? As much as I hate to say it.. you gotta go with the 'Boys. The Cowboys are probably the most consistent team over the years. And don't look now.. but they could be on the way back.

So.. who would you say in the best Superbowl team ever?

No single team had a more dominant year than the '85 Bears. The '72 Dolphins accomplished something tremendous going undefeated, but they played a softer schedule and didn't destroy their opponents the way Buddy's Bears did. I'll take that team over any other, period.

my 49ers can be considered one of the best franchises in SuperBowls. they have never lost a Super Bowl. their performances against the Broncos and the Chargers will go down as one of the most dominating performances ever.....

There's a lot to be said for the "classic" Super Bowl teams, and no one can knock the awesome accomplishments of the Steelers, Niners, Cowboys and others over the course of history.

However, don't overlook some of the recent teams. They may not have created dynasties, but there have been a few good champs the last decade or so. Elway's '98 Broncos, Favre's '96 Packers, the firepower of the '99 Rams...all of these teams went into the games with an air of inevitability.

And while they may not go down as one of the all-time great Super Bowl teams, the Patriots gave us arguably the most exciting Super Bowl ever in 2001. At least one of the top three.
