Best team of the day. World Cup.

So I realize I'm bombarding the board with world cup related stuff, but it only comes around every four years and I've recently decided to post more on this site.

Since I love lists, make a list of the best team from each day of competition.
Here's mine so far.

Day 1: South Africa; South Africa played admirably in their first ever world cup game, Drawing and playing equally (at least in the second half) with a good Mexican team, they’re going to be the team to watch in Group A.

Day 2: South Korea; Played 13th ranked Greece like they were a bunch of long-haired school children.

Tomorrows predictions: Slovenia win 2-0, Serbia and Ghana 3-2 serbs, and big shock when the aussies sneak a 1-0 win against the germans (or much more likely germans will be frustratingly efficient and win 4-0)

Day 3: Germany. They're the only team in the cup so far who look like they know what they're doing. And apparently they're the second youngest team in the tourny. Scary.

The Germans went Blitzkrieg on the Australians, it's the first team I've seen so far that are a potential winner.

No one really played that well today unfortunately. I'm tempted to say Italy was the best team of the day, mostly because it seemed like they were going to pick apart Paraguay for most of the game today. The goal they did concede was almost undefendable and came as a result of a handball dive, so it's hard to penalize them for that- not to mention about seven other blatant Paraguayan dives. But, Holland won handily, even if one goal was a fluke.

Well at this point I realize nobody cares but me, but I'm going to continue talking to myself, and this is the only place I have to do it, unless I was really talking to myself, but that'd just be crazy.

Another relatively shitty day. Cristiano Ronaldo definitely wins biggest ass of the day diving maybe fifteen times and the ref buying it about ten of those. Brazil were the only team with a win but they played 105th ranked North Korea, conceded a goal, and only scored two. New Zealand pulled a stunning last minute goal to tie which was exciting, but I'd say the most entertaining team to watch was the Ivory Coast (though it may just be those bright orange jerseys), I expect them to get out of the group of death.

Day 5: Ivory Coast

Day 6 brought the start of the second round, and it turns out my best team of day one, the hosting South Africa, are not meant to be. Chile performed awesome today, Switzerland played with and upset second-seeded Spain, and Uruguay thrashed South Africa. I'm gonna give it to Switzerland for the huge upset, and don't be surprised if Spain doesn't make it out of this group.

Day 6: Switzerland

I really wish I'd seen this back when it was posted. I would've laughed harder. seeing as how the Germans did win 4-0.

I do hope Denmark beats Japan though, Danish are so not into football it'd be hilarious.
