I don't know how this is going to come out: I'm going to try to dump my memories of NEST and what I think it meant to me, in some kind of coherent fashion, but I have a feeling that it's going to end up being a jumble of random observations and emotions.

The first thing that has to be said is "Thank you," to LeeAllure, who put literally countless hours into making NEST happen this year. She really brought NEST to the next level, working tirelessly to make sure everything went perfectly and everyone had fun. And she NEVER stops... even at the goodbye brunch on Monday morning she was drifting from table to table, putting together an after-action report so the next NEST will be even better.

I don't want to start naming the people who touched my life this weekend (though there were many,)for fear of accidentally leaving someone out, but one person has to be mentioned by name: Tickle Emporer, because that guy was shot out of a cannon from the second I met him Thursday night, until the second he said goodbye Monday morning. As many people have already said, he's the poster boy for NEST: nobody had more fun than him, nobody made more new friends, and I've never heard someone say "I love you," so sincerely, to so many people, so many times.

My favorite moment of the entire weekend was definately Lee and I doing two-on-four in her hotel room. AnnieHall, CrystalLight and I went to Visit LeeAllure and Brighteyes in their room, and when we were confronted with the three little ticklee's, Lee and I started thinking about something we had discussed doing, which was making an audio clip of laughter as a sort of recorded theme for the TMF.

But we felt we needed one more voice for our impromptu chorus, so Lee called IrishGirl and asked her, in Lee's usual sweet, honey-voice, to please stop by the room. The others already knew our evil plan, but Irish had no idea what she was walking into. I wish we had a picture of how huge her eyes got when she heard what we were up to.

We had them take off their jackets, sweatshirts and shoes, and lined the four girls (brighteyes, anniehall, crystallight, and irishgirl, in case you're losing track) up side-by-side on the bed. They muttered and grumbled and sulked, but I didn't see anyone trying to escape.

Then Lee set her laptop to record audio and we started tickling all four of them at the same time. This went on for probably about five-ten minutes, and then we tested the clip. Sadly it hadn't recorded due to some unforseen, entirely regrettable, technical difficulties, and we were forced, against our will, to do the whole thing again.

I have never heard anything cuter or more endearing than the sound of four girls simultaneously squealing, giggling, shrieking, laughing their heads off, and in one case cursing up a storm and wishing death on us.

The first thing that happened at NEST for me this year was Thursday night, which ended up being an impromptu Guys' Night. None of the ladies had shown up yet, and DVNC, PokeyInMich, Kered, Rui, SnailShell, Jarret, Chaneda, TickleEmporer (I hope I got everyone) and I ended up hanging out for hours in the bar, drinking round after round and telling stories.

...

OK, I know I said I wasn't going to start naming names, but there's no way I can talk about NEST without talking about the people, so I'm going to break my own promise and discuss some of the ones I really got to know.

As everyone says at this point, I apologize in advance to the people I overlook. It's just that so much happened that it's almost impossible to keep it all straight. And I'm not going to discuss the people I already know so well from previous NESTs. There isn't enough room here to try to describe the deep bond we all share. You all know, hopefully, how much you mean to me.

I also met a lot of people who I felt an instant connection with, but the weekend was so busy that I never got a chance to really get to know them. I'm not going to name names there either, but hopefully you know who you are.

My preference for cute girls is well-documented, so first on the list have to be CrystalLight and Tortuga. It was great meeting you two, and you really brought a lot of energy to the weekend. I was never near either of you without the needle on my fun-o-meter pinning. Hmm, that doesn't sound quite right, does it? 😎

I only got to know Crystal a few weeks ago, and I already feel like we've been friends for years, giving each other a hard time and sharing our cynical view of life and people. One of my favorite NEST moments was Sunday night, after NEST itself, when Crystal and I were feeling fried from the weekend and anti-social, and we hung out in her room while she played TMF Chatroom Trivia and I called out answers to her.

Tortuga and I made a video during the weekend which I'll try to have online soon. And that reminds me of one of the funniest things I heard all weekend... we were in my room and suddenly Tortuga said "Who are you rooming with?" And I, in my innocence, said "Well, I'm rooming with Mairead, but how do you know I'm rooming with anyone?" and she said, barely able to keep from breaking up laughing, "Because I know you don't need that hairbrush on the table."

Of course then, whether she liked it or not, she was going to be laughing.

Tortuga is also one of at least three girls whose ribs I bruised this weekend tickling them. I should really take this moment to apologize to them... but I'm not going to: tough crap, it's what you get for being so cute.

I've met ASUTickler before, but this was the first time I got a chance to hang out with him. He's so laid back, and frankly sort of looming like a landscape, that it's easy to miss how hilariously funny he is.

Snail Shell is another guy I had met before, and even though I felt like we were already friends, this was the first year I really had a chance to hang out with him too. Another very funny guy, and also clearly several different kinds of madman who is definately NESTs Most Likely to Accidentally Kill Himself or Someone Else.

The third person that I already knew, but sort of met for the first time this year was Amnesiac. Amn was the cameraman for the NEST video shoot (coming soon to a clip4sale site near YOU!) and despite the fact that it was cramped, swelteringly hot under the lights, dangerously narrow, and completely improvised, he did an amazingly professional job.

Speaking of the video, let me go into some detail on that. We shot a live video at NEST this year, and I had a chance to watch it before the weekend was over. It came out amazingly well. Viper had two gorgeous girls tied up on a stage, and LeeAllure, BellaRisa, and KittenToes took them to school!

Not only did Amnesiac film some amazingly hot tickling action, but he also got some fantastic behind the scenes stuff, and comments from the cast. I found it absolutely riveting to watch and re-experience: it was so intense and immediate.

ViperGTS ran a very professional set. He was everywhere at once, and in control at all times. I've been making videos for ten years, and I know I learned some things from watching him operate.

And speaking of the event, it was amazing, as it always has been, from the days when it was 15 of us in Max Speer's apartment to this year when it was who knows how many (speaking of which, who knows how many were there?) in a huge club.

The Distraction Game was bigger than ever, with more than ten people on both the women's and men's teams. I think I laughed harder than the people being tickled, just from watching them fall apart on stage while trying to answer questions from Max.

The NEST kidnapping this year was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen! To bring people up to speed, there is a signup sheet at NEST for people who want to be kidnapped (always by hand-picked teams who are well-known to the NEST Team,) and since that started there has always been a big production of a kidnapping in the middle of the event.

This year it was Spotlady who got snatched up while minding her own business, carried away kicking and screaming, strapped down and tickled mercilessly... by pirates!

It turned out that Alchemy (looking exactly like Captain Jack Sparrow,) Libertine, AffectionateDan, TickleChicago, LeeAllure, and Kittentoes (I think that's all of them, I was sort of at the back of the crowd) all had pirate costumes, and Spotlady had mentioned pirates in her kidnapping signup. So of course with that kind of explosive combination mayhem was bound to ensue.

And it did... Libertine conducted a wildly entertaining and hilarious interrogation (as he did last year,) looking for, if I have this right, an egg-salad recipe, which may or may not have even existed.

Speaking of kidnappings, I should mention AnnieHall's kidnapping. I'm not going to go into detail because it's her story to tell, but it was fun and intense.

The one funny detail that I will mention is that Annie is the only kidnappee that I've ever seen run. Every other one that I've witnessed, the victim just stands there and watches it happen to them, but Annie bolted! As soon as she saw us coming, she jumped to her feet and ran for it, and I mean a genuine bid for freedom. I had to tackle her from behind while DVNC raced in front of her, or she might have gotten away!

A lot of other things happened, but I've already gone on longer than I meant to. It was, without question, the best weekend I've ever experienced.

P.S. I apologize for yelling at you, Kered. I still can't believe anyone would willingly leave NEST early without a gun pointed at them. I mean, in all seriousness, you couldn't miss 2 hours of sleep and stay to the... ok, I'm going to stop 😎

Glad to hear NEST was such a good time, Jeff.

It seems too often that the producers of tickle media lose sight of the joy of tickling and just focus on the business of it.

You are obviously not one of these people.

Hope I can make it down one of these years. Seems like too good a time to miss.

So incredibly jelous. Sounds like so much fun. Hopefully next year Ill be in the States and be able to make it!

That was a great start! It was nice to find that the Head Honcho and DVNC are just regular guys. And the only thing missing from Team Canada's entrance was the marching band.

I didn't tell anyone (not even my best buds) but I got a cell call about my little girl being put in the hospital. I didn't want to bring the party down, besides I was going to leave early anyway the next morning along with Buggy and Pokey. Got another call when we got back to the hotel and was told to rest before the trip back as at that time she was stable and sleeping. I left at 2am after some sleep. To make this short we brought her home this morning. I didn't think you were yelling and I don't take it personally but she is the one most important thing in my life. We can have another Pre-NEST drunkfest next year and I'll buy the first round! If DVNC is there I'll buy the second one also!!

I hope everything is ok and happy to hear she's back home from the hospital.

Next year, the first round is on me.....

ok, here goes......

I've now had time to read through all of the NEST threads and posts. I wasn't going to start yet another thread. So, I picked this one at random to post my thoughts in.

Drew and I just got back last night. We generally try to schedule his vacation time around NEST so we have longer to spend with friends (both old and new) before having to leave. It's always difficult to say good-bye. But, stretching things out softens the blow...even if only a little.

This year's NEST was one of the best ever...if not THE best. Lee (and company), you did an amazing job. And from someone who knows how much work needs to go into all that you accomplished, I give you a TON of credit, respect and thanks! Fantastic job!!!

Drew and I were unable to stay at the hotel. So, it limitted the amount of time we had with many folks. But, it also meant us having more time with some other folks. You all know who you are. It was a real pleasure.

As everyone else has said, it's difficult to start naming names. So, I'm not going to really try.

NEST, for me, is always about getting to see everyone, meet new folks and just feel all the affirmation that comes in knowing we aren't the only ones into this. (If you're one of the many people who struggles with feeling "abnormal" in relation to this whole tickling thing we love, I encourage you to go to a gathering. It really helps break you out of that.) I could never properly put words to what NEST means to Drew and I. We've made a ton of friends...some with whom we've gotten very close. Getting to be with all of the people is a real gift and always my favorite part of the whole thing.

That having been said, there were a couple of favorite moments...

First was a few of us hanging at Max's place Monday evening after most folks had already gone home. After all the craziness and fun, it was nice to just spend time together relaxing and winding down. Being very much an introvert, I get very drained being around so many people and so much commotion (even though I love getting to spend time with everyone). So, those quiet moments are a particular gift for me...especially when I get to spend them with such good friends.

Second had to be that awesome tickle session on Sunday. For those who weren't there, Chaneda had a cool bondage chair that we decided to try out. I felt like the waters had just been chummed as I was being strapped in. My best friends, along with some new ones and a few folks I was just beginning to get to know all started circling...a few getting in some shots before I was even fully restrained.

Over the course of what I'm told was about the next 40 minutres, I had somewhere in the area of 20 different people going at me. I say "I'm told" it was about 40 minutes because I had no concept of time once they got going on me. I think we had about half a dozen people when we started. As it continued, people popped in and out of the scene (always invited and totally respectful). I think the least number of people going at me at one time was 4 and the most was 7 or 8. It was probably the most intense (and fun) tickle session I've had in ages. (Apologies to those trying to shoot the video amidst all my screaming. I hope it didn't pick up on the mic! lol)

I've often been frustrated by what I refer to as gold-diggers...those who refuse to do anything but dig in with rough tickling, which only hurts and doesn't tickle on me at all. This was the first time I've had that many people going at me where everyone adjusted immediately to the lighter touch that kills me. NYTE21 (I hope I remembered that handle right) and Hypnosis07 proved particularly gifted at the lighter tickles. Along with the others, they absolutely destroyed me! And I loved every minute of it!!!

Drew's back with lunch. So, I'll edit to finish this later on.

Now then. Where was I? Oh yeah, being wonderfully tormented! I seem to recall one point telling NYTE that even though I'd just met him I hated him. Of course, it was said in love and gratitude. But, you get the idea. To all those who shared in my demise...Thanks!!! It took nearly an hour for me to come back to life and be able to walk across the room. But, what a wonderful time it was!!!

I can't close this without adding all of the great hugs and backrubs to the mix. I love getting and giving both. I know how good it feels to be on the receiving end. So, I enjoy giving them to others, especially if they happen to be hurting and truly in need of it. I particularly enjoy the refreshed look and feel that someone will get and knowing that I've just been blessed enough to be able to help them out. For those with whom I got to share that, on either side, it was grand. Thank-you all!

OK, now the post-NEST blues are really kicking in. So, I'll leave it at that. Love you guys!!!!!!!!!!

Kered, sorry it was a rough thing yankin' ya. Yer company was missed, brother. You KNOW I'll be there next time. That first night was the perfect appetizer for the feast to follow.

Jeff, man, this has to be the best time I've had with ya, and I can't help thinkin' it won't be the last. Man, that freakin' ROCKED. Thank ya, too, for catchin' me up, as I couldn't be everywhere at once. 🙂

Dude, if I die during a session at NEST, it won't be by accident. 😉

In a lot of ways I feel like this year's NEST was my first one. It was the first time I was really myself. I had been so nervous at previous NESTs I missed out on a lot of the fun. But now I"m a veteran!

I got there Friday and it was so great to see everyone. It had felt like years since the last NEST.

Saturday was awesome with all the workshops. Libertine and KittenToes' bondage workshop was hilarious. Libertine pretending to be an overzealous guy tying up a woman for the first time and getting himself tangled up on the floor in the end. Priceless. Then my phone ringing and playing the theme to "Good, Bad, and the Ugly" right in the middle of it.

My kidnapping thing was pretty fun. The ink had not even dried on my waiver when I see 4 or 5 big guys in ski masks with Jeff leading the pack, walking like he's on a serious mission. At that point my brain didn't really think in full sentences. It was just like "Run." And I tried jumping over the row of chairs in front of me. I guarantee if there was nothing in my way, it would have been a chase.

So I get a pillowcase over my head and dragged to my room where I'm tied spread eagle and "worked like a rib at a barbecue" for about 35 minutes. 25 minutes in my lip started trembling and there were 2 tears. So when people tell you I cried, it was just 2 tears so calm down. I am still tough as hell. Snail Shell is lucky I was tied down because he put an ice cube in my pants and if I wasn't I would have kicked his ass.

I was shaky as hell afterwards so I drank like 3 bottles of water and took a nap. After that I was all good.

The 4 x 2 that Jeff mentioned was crazy. They claim there were "technical difficulties" and had to do it like three times. Whatever! I'm on to you guys! I remember being stuck in the middle between BrightEyes and CrystalLight and when I wasn't being tickled, I was praying to turn invisible and also for some earplugs because I was going deaf from the screaming.

You probably can't even hear me on that recording thing because of these loud asses lol!

Family Guy night was hilarious. I got 1 question right (go me!). And ASU's giant ass decided it would be fun to play me like a guitar. It was funny though.

Sunday was awesome. Alchemy's fall heard round all of Philly. The Distraction game, the raffle. It was awesome.

That night I forced myself to stay awake and hang out with everyone outside. We were delirious from no sleep and everything was hilarious. Bella was chewing on Tortuga's armpit at one point while ASU held her arms up and usually I'm pretty tough when it comes to stuff like that, but I was horrified. My face was one of fright. Chewing on someone's armpit? That's messed up. Next thing I know, ASU is holding my arms up and Bella with her long ass nails is going at me. No chewing though, thank Jebus.

I finally submitted to the soporific feelings and went to bed.

Monday morning everyone was kind of tiptoeing around the inevitable. Breakfast was awesome. We had the best waiter and people were all walking around. Rob even hugged the waiter! Jeff proved further that he has a hair fetish. And both me and Crystal nearly fell under the table to escape from the tickling.

Later that day we hung with ASU and Tortuga in their room. Whoever invented the sonicare is a sick person. That's all I'm saying. And Tortuga is evil, but I still love her.

Before I knew it Jeff was driving me, Crystal, and Amnesiac to the airport. I had tears in my eyes when I left, it sucked so bad.

But I got to sit next to TickleChgo on the plane and that eased some of the NEST pain.

I still miss everyone though and Lee, you are amazing. Sick, but amazing, for working that hard.

Love you all.

"NEST - No dumbassery."

Okay, so I’d really like to avoid making thirty different NEST posts, so this will be my feeble attempt at posting everything in one. My favorite NEST moments, quotes, and all of my thank-yous. Here goes!

Friday night was amazing. When Andy and I arrived at the hotel, I was close to vomiting, and didn’t want to go inside, but he took me straight to Lee and I was fine. Then the work began and I was very distracted (I’m so sorry if I was too distracted to really chat with anyone that night!) Being stuck between Lee, Jeff, and DVNC was much fun 😉

Saturday was really busy, but a few of my more memorable moments were napping with Jonathan and Snail, wrestling on the grass in front of the hotel (lol), and participating as a Demo-ee in Snail’s wrestling hold class. Family Guy night was awesome, and it’s Lee, Snail, and Tortuga’s faults that I didn’t get more right. They were all distracting me. Then Danimal, my knight in shining armor, failed me miserably by holding me for them. You bastards! I will kill you all in half! I think enough people went into details on the recording… although I was holding Irishgirl’s head up to keep her from rolling off the bed. Again, you bastards, I will kill you all in half.  BTW, that was Mairead swearing and screaming threats, not me 😉 All of that so rudely interrupted another of my fave moments, trying to nap with Lee in our room, while she was babbling on and on – she just couldn’t shut her brain off. She wasn’t even thinking at that point, but the thoughts were still coming. If that makes sense. But it doesn’t have to! Here’s where I want to just drive it home to everyone just how hard this chick worked to make this NEST so awesome. Everybody should be sending her massage gift certificates. PM me for address. Thanks. 😀 Then Sunday, Sunday was insane. Another favorite moment was with Max on the couch, watching the video being shot. I love you Daddy. Oh, and gallivanting around Philly doing errands with Max and Lee before the main event, while I was dressed like a schoolgirl. Got some great looks at CVS and Dunkin Donuts. (lol). Coloring with Mairead at dinner on Sunday night was awesome. You rock. Even if you did hog the green. 😉 I can’t believe we had energy that night to do anything else, but Lee and I ended up in the room with Jonathan, Snail, and Amnesiac. I hate you Billay, and your electric toothbrush. I hate you kids!!!! Monday brunch was awesome, and sitting between my new Daddy and big brother, and being naughty, was fun 😉 Even if you did give me the spanking of my life later. My ass is blue, completely. I’m sure I missed some great moments in here. But this is what comes to mind for now.  I love all of you, and wish I had been able to spend more time with everyone. Oh, and how could I forget, the Rev Jamie – you are a butthead, and I will get even with you next time!!!!!!!!!! MWAHAHAHA!

My thanks. These are going to be mushy, which is really unlike me, so if you don’t like mushy, go ahead and click “back” on your browser. 

Danimal, for being my first real TMF friend. There will always be a special place for you in my heart. I am so amazed that you were able to make it. Tracy, you also get a special thanks for sending him along. You made a lot of peeps really happy when they saw him!

Venray, you are insane. I’m glad to adopt a grandpa. Although your wife is much too beautiful to pass as a grandma yet. But you’re still grandpa. Keep your dentures clean, and many thanks for Stewie. 😉

Pokey, thanks for all of the pre-nest chats. You calmed my nerves on many occasions! I’m so sorry that I didn’t make more time to sit down and talk to you more. Next time my friend, next time.

Snail, you are the friend. That’s all I can say.

DVNC, I’m so glad we finally met. We go back almost 10 years. You’re just as amazing now as you always were.

Mairead and CL, you girls are crazy. Crazy and cool. I love you both and am SO glad I got to meet you.

Rui, I’m so glad you came all the way from Portugal to see us all. You’re wonderful and I’m so glad I got to meet you!

Amnesiac, oh Teddy Bear. I love you, you’re awesome and hilarious, and the most talented voice-doer I’ve ever heard. You need to move to Hollywood. Really. So glad we got to hang out.

Viper & Corry, you guys are darling and I’m so glad we got to hang out as well. Corry you’re so full of energy and you just brighten up the room so much! And you have the best rack ever 😉

Irishgirl, I wish we had gotten to spend more time talking. I know you’ll be a lifelong friend.

Libertine & KittenToes – Kitten you are wonderful, and it was a pleasure meeting you. Jon, you are vile and crude and incredibly entertaining. You can keep your “Not the Bible” though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad to hang out with you guys 🙂

Bella, omg you were the most beautiful woman at NEST. And we had some hot chicks at NEST. You’re so sweet and wonderful and helpful and mamalike and everything. Meeting you and riding to Max’s in your lap was a blast 😉 I’m SOOO glad we got to spend as much time together as we did.

Andy - what a fun ride from the airport. You were a HUGE help too. I love you!

Jonathan – you were a HUGE help, all the time. You made sure I took breaks and had fun too. I can’t thank you enough for that. You made my life, and, more importantly, Lee’s, that much easier. I really am grateful to have made a friend like you. 🙂 Enjoy the socks! 😉

Alchemy – you’re a terrible ‘ler (in a great way, 😉 ) and I really wish we could’ve spent more time together. Thanks for helping us with check-in. I enjoyed sitting on your lap for awhile too 😉 You’re awesome!

Tortuga – omg girlie you are absolutely darling! Meeting you was so much fun! And I still have suspicion that you and Lee must have hung out in a past life 😉 You’re beautiful and so funny, and I’m so glad I met you! We have to get together, we only live like 6 hours apart. PS – I liked your pet rhino too, he was cool!

Jeff – one of my favorite people at NEST, and on the TMF, and just in general. Thanks for everything you did to help me come out of my shell, and for helping me be my best. You notice things that nobody else does, and point them out in a way that only you can. I’m so glad to call you one of my closest friends. It was really fun hanging out with you Monday night and creating superlatives. I still think that was a trick candle, btw. (long, long pause)

Ann & Drew – I’m so glad I got to meet you guys! You’re an adorable couple, and thanks for making so much yummy food!!!!

All the newbies from the newbie chat – it was great meeting everyone, we made it through our first NEST!!!!!!! 😀

Rob – I don’t even know what to say except I love you.

Jarrett – I still want my bedtime story. I also think we would make beautiful children. 😉 So glad you made it.

Max – I love you Daddy. Watching you perform gave me goosebumps, and bedtime on Sat & Sun was much fun. Thanks for seran-wrapping me to the pole. That was crazy.

I know I missed people. I know I did. I’m sorry! I love you all! And here goes, the best for last. 🙂

My Lee, you’re sitting next to me on the couch, hopefully not reading this over my shoulder. Until meeting you, I never knew I could be platonically in love! I am completely enamored with you, and everybody knows it. Our love fest. 🙂 You’ve involved me with the NEST planning pretty much every step of the way, and serving you in the journey has been nothing less than an honor. Nobody really understands our relationship, but that’s okay. You’re amazing and awesome and fabulous and many other things, and I love you!!!!!!!

…aaaaand…… that’s a wrap :cool2:

sounds like another successful NEST!!!🙂

I'm so enjoying reading this year's exploits and at the same time a bit physically ill from having to miss it this year due to work issues..I tried like hell to telepathetically tickle Classy ( I did hear the word REDDD! in my sub- conscious I swear!😀) See ya'll at the next one and down the road RC

I can't close this without adding all of the great hugs and backrubs to the mix.

I seem to remember being next on the list, but Pokey Kered and i had to head back to the hotel.:cry1: I'll remind you next year.😀

It certainly was a fabulous weekend. 😀
And Lee Allure clearly did an amazing amount of work to make it happen. She deserves a huge thanks from all who attended. :bouncybou

Not much more I can add here.........this was a FANTASTIC weekend with great friends old and new.

Thanks again to Lee, Jeff, and everyone on the NEST team who was involved in turning out another wonderful gathering. And a special thanks to Ticklechgo and DVNC for their generosity on Monday morning at the diner.........true gentlemen!

For those who read all these posts and think:"Well, maybe next year I'll go.."
do yourself a favor and try to make this fabulous event. Reading about all the fun on the post-NEST threads doesn't do justice.......you gotta be there in person to truly appreciate it!

When I met Chaneda and Rui at the airport, even that was an adventure because we were looking for ASU Tickler and Amnesiac. And we got lost in the ghetto of Philly trying to get to the hotel, and Chaneda decided to make this fucked up turn into the parking lot, forcing Amnesiac, Rui, and I in the back seat up against the window like a pancake. I'm never riding with you again hunny! But thanks for the ride and the many walks around the hotel! Your a sweetie!

LeeAllure "greeted" me for the first time while ASU Tickler held my arms back, so she could get a "proper" intorduction. Lee your so amazing and I was so happy I got to meet you. You made everything happen so smoothly, no one on this forum could give you enough thanks.

Brighteyes...oh hunny your just so f'ing adorable! lol and you thought I was a bottom...for you hunny I can make acceptions. Miss you much, and I miss laughing with you!

TickleEmporer omg hunny....you are such a joy! I seriously wanted to just take you home with me and keep you on top of my frig or something. You have an awesome personality and a blast to hang out with. I miss you baby!

ASU Tickler it was fun roomming with you even though you wouldn't let me sleep! And a good majority of the time collasped on me while sleepng, I couldn't breath a couple times but it's okay! Still love you! :justlips:

Amnesiac oh hunny I wish I got to hang around you more. But our adventure from the airport was fun. And your hilarious, I assume you already know that.
And you were fantastic with the video shoot. Absolutely astonishing.

Snail Shell you really know how to make a girl feel loved. I don't have enough room here to say how I feel. You are so caring and have so much compassion. Thank you so much for holding me pretty much all through Sunday Brunch. I'm sorry I soaked your shirt with tears. You really left an impression on me and I am so delighted I got to meet you. :justlips:

AnnieHall it took us a little while to warm up but I'm glad we did! Your chicago accent is hilarious! We had a lot of laughs. Your so funny and such a joy to hang out with, and talk about nothing but BS. And yes hunny I can be evil!

Crystallight, Like AnnieHall it took us a little bit but we got there at the end. Your really fun to hang out with, well the time we did get to chill. Your a lot of laughs. Miss you hunny.

Bella...oh bella bella bella. You are so gorgeous. I fell in love with your personality instantly when you welcomed me at the door. You are so sweet. I can't wait to see you again. You really are a joy to be around. I really did wish you took me home with you! :justlips:

DVNC....what a MAN! hunny bunches of asparagus.....enough said. lol :justlips:

ViperGTS it was wonderful to see you again. I know I was pretty hesitant at first and I do apolgize for that. Your still sweet and I miss you tons. And I'm very proud of you.

Hypnois....Tall Dark and Handsome as ever with a very orgasmic voice....(that's good enough)

Danimal...your just too cute...

Alchemy I miss playing with your hair and just hugging you. We had a lot of great times together, just the two of us. I wish I got to spend more. You really are so easy to talk to. I miss you very much hunny. And god you looked so hot as Jack Sparrow! :justlips:

Last and not least....trust me I'll be back with more...

MTP Jeff.....

ohhhh Jeffy boy....bald grasshopper.

You are definitely one of my favorites...your so snarky I love it! You always made me blush by just looking at me smiling. You really made me feel welcome anytime and anywhere. I still can't believe I finally met you. We talked about meeting for how long and it finally happened. Making the video was very fun, even though you bruised me...you evil bastard. I'm definitely missing your company. :justlips:

It's a shame you had to BUG-out early. (Sorry, couldn't resist the pun. :upsidedow) I will definitely catch you next time. No reminder will be needed. I'm not sure Kered could handle another infidelity like that. But, we'll just be sneaky is all. lol

You rock lady!!! 😀:bowing:

Tortuga

Why thank you for the kind words. I'm sure I don"t have to tell you that you are a beautiful person inside and out.
But I will any way.

Cheers

J.

Snail, you are the friend. That’s all I can say.

I only wish I could do more. Really. Many thanks to you both. 🙂

Tortuga's Exciting Carousel Ride!

After the meet and greet get together in the Hall, I was walking around meeting new faces and just socializing. During that time, I was constantly tickle attacked by Jeff. CONSTANTLY....butthead...well we discovered a fantastic new ride called Tortuga's Exciting Carousel Ride...it's really fun, I charge five bucks a ride. Anyways....Jeff decided to dig his tricky fingers into my sides and ribs, and I tried to get away...yeah not happening. So I tried to go around him to get away. But I was just well going around and around and around in a circle for many minutes, spinning Jeff right along with me!....Jeff was pretty much on the heel of his foot with good balance enjoying the ride. It's pretty fun and very entertaining to watch.

"Not the drill!"

You were everything at the right time in the right place. Seriously. OMG I miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, you know where to find me if you need everything again. Of course, if you're hanging out with some guy and you kneed everything, I'd recommend running very quickly. 😉

Another "I'm not drunk, but dammit, I love you guys" rambling NEST 2008 post. 🙂

Finally got a little time to post... Couldn't identify any one thread that had the definitive, big weepy NEST posts, so I figured this one'd do...

Thoughts:

I got in a little late Thursday night, and coming off nightshift, and after doing ridiculous preparations, packings and various chores throughout the day and the day prior, by the time I finally hit the sack that night, I'd been up for 32 consecutive hours by my math. Alas, it was a sleep debt I continued fighting with through the weekend, often hitting the hay earlier than I thought I would, missing poker and Family Guy night, but them's the breaks...

It’s funny how one’s job will condition one... At work, even if a client comes up and tries to hug me, I’m expected not to reciprocate because of various liabilities. While it’s our duty to modify our client’s behavior, it’s easy to forget that the system conditions you as well. Spending as much time as I do in a virtual no-touch environment (limited to handshakes, basically), it can be surprisingly tough to switch gears when you’re around such a bunch of very touch-oriented folks... Gotta’ work on that for next time. 🙂

Also, let me say here at the beginning to everyone that while it would have been nice to have gotten around to talk to more of you and at greater length throughout the weekend, I wanted to make sure a very wonderful newbie friend of mine was safe and comfortable throughout, well taken care of, and had the best time humanly possible. I took that responsibility very seriously, but frankly, doing so was my greatest joy of this trip. So, while I didn’t get around as much as I might’ve, I had my priorities and I don’t regret a bit of them. 🙂 But now that she’s got one under her belt and knows a few more people, I suspect we’ll both be more comfortable and able to get around a bit more next time. I look forward to it.

Anyway, without further ado, the copious personal notes in no particular order...

Chaneda -- Thanks for welcoming me. You are a gentleman -- a warm, friendly soul, bright, and quite the craftsman -- I loved that chair, and it seemed to get some good use at the club! Now I need to get one! You're not selling, are you?

Rui -- dude, keep in touch, and if you're coming back next year, let me know when you're touching down and I'll pick you up... Rassum-frassum fake cabbie bastards... :ranty: We'll make sure that doesn't happen next time. ...and perhaps we'll bring a soccer ball and watch you kick everyone's ass.

Emperor -- you were the Robin Goodfellow of our Mid-Spring Weekend's Dream... You must come back next year! But you'll have to be careful sneaking up on me -- you narrowly avoided impalement on my elbow once! In my work, I've had enough clients charge me from behind that when I hear someone running up behind me, my instinct is to lower my center of gravity, brace myself and jut my elbow out so they learn their lesson... I heard you running that one time, started getting in my defensive posture, and then thought, "Wait! It's just Emp!" and kept my elbow in at the last second... Emperor attacks are more than welcome, but from the front are probably best with me, bro. 😀 You're awesome, and I look forward to seeing you again.

Hipnosis -- great to sit with you and just chat, be it about Canada's healthcare system, NLP versus hypnosis, or whathaveyou. You're just a cool, laid-back cat. You've got the right mind and voice for radio, or hypnosis, or just good conversation, and it was a pleasure talking to you. Please keep in touch. I look forward to seeing your development in hypnosis and psych. 🙂

Gabe -- Methinks you need a frisbee in your sig file so we can recognize you from now on, man! Great meeting you... But seriously, look around your area, there are bound to be more like us. If not, the place is ripe for conversions and I suspect you’re just the type of guy who could make them happen. Good luck and I hope to see you back here next year.

Venray & Venraya -- Venray, you’ve always been unerringly kind to me, even through some difficult times, and I’ve always appreciated that. I hope the (relatively) new job continues to work out for you. Venraya, it was a pleasure meeting you. Hope we can all sit down and chat sometime.

Ann & Drew -- Ann, you and I both went through some very tough times this past year. We also had some conversations that were often tough too, but you always approached me respectfully, with understanding, honor, compassion, and as an equal, and I truly appreciate that. It was an honor to meet you (I don’t remember if we’d shaken hands maybe once some time ago, but didn’t feel we’d really met before now). Drew, good meeting you as well, even if only briefly. You must be some kind of man to deserve a woman like Ann. Bless you both. 🙂

Dan -- It was great getting a hug via Dan-o-gram from The Queen. :twohugs: It’s okay -- men can hug and still stay masculine! You just have to even it out with flexing, and eating steak, and working on cars... Better yet, cook that steak on a hot engine block while working out! Very manly! Grrr! Keep in touch. 🙂

Tamia -- A pleasure finally meeting you! And seriously, it wasn't a line -- your pictures really don't do you justice. I've got a bunch of projects on the front burner I've got to work on first, a couple of obligations, but I really must draw you sometime. My hands give me no choice! They tell me I must! 😀 (They also tell me I must tickle you silly, but I reckon that’ll have to wait until you’re in my proximity again... ...darn it!) I hope the weekend proved a suitable celebration for your graduation. Keep in touch. I very much look forward to seeing you again.

Kretelis -- You seem an interesting fellow. We never got much beyond introductions, but still, you strike me as someone good to talk to. Feel free to PM me any time, man.

Pokey -- You know it’s always good seeing you. This past weekend was a blur of people, and hellos, and not a lot of opportunity to sit and talk, but it was great that as soon as I came in, there was the familiar face of one of the ultimate southern gentlemen of the Forum. Send my regards to The Boss, and I wish you both safe travels. Keep in touch, my friend.

Kered -- Great finally meeting you! I hope your shirt had the intended effect! I had to smile when I heard you say, “I met Capnmad and he wasn’t mad at all!” Pass that along, will ya’? Sometimes people get the wrong idea. 🙂

Bugman -- Sorry we didn't get much beyond introductions, man, but I hope you had a fantastic weekend, and I hope to talk to you more soon. You’ve got my e-mail. Drop a line any time.

Snail Shell -- Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see this third of The Canadian Connection much, but of course, that’s because you were in such high demand. 😀 Good for you! Excellent wrestling demonstration, btw, and I look forward to better making your acquaintance as time allows. All the best.

Classy -- Loved seeing you again! It’s always a pleasure. I’ll be happy to attack that sig file, just as soon as I finish up the next round of art for a couple other obligations... That 20-30 year target area sounds good... 😉 And I'll check my schedule to see if that gathering's do-able. Thanks for recommending it! 🙂

Amnesiac -- Excellent talking to you man, and I know -- I’ve got to pick up more Vertigo... Would you believe I’ve never read “Y: The Last Man”? Outside of Vertigo -- ever pick up Carla Speed McNeil’s sci-fi/fantasy work, “Finder”? Awesome stuff. If you haven’t seen it, you should check it out. I’ve met her a couple of times, too -- incomparable mind, fantastic writer and artist... We should talk more often, trade some recommendations... Look forward to catching you online.

Avenger & gf -- (Argh! Sorry! I forgot your gf’s name!!! *smacks head*) Avenger, I know for myself, you and I didn’t get to talk near as much as I’d have wanted, but thanks for checking up on me here and there. I really appreciated that. I did have a good time, and while I don’t know if there’s a position open, you strike me as someone who’d make an excellent newbie liaison sometime. Keep in touch. 🙂

Kwil & Lite -- Breakfast closes officially at 9:30, but they’ll keep it open longer if they’re busy. Check-out time is at 11:00, but I still don’t know the bus schedule! Sorry! 😀 You folks always rock! It was great seeing you both again, even if I couldn’t spend as much time hanging out as I wanted. I’ll see you around the Forum.

Libertine and Kittentoes -- Libertine, your skill with the whip is damned impressive, and your performances make you the king of any scene. Didn’t get to talk much, but it was an honor seeing you both again. Do take care, and don’t be strangers online.

Tickles -- I knew you'd be a huge hit with everyone, and I heard you got plenty of attention. 😀 Admittedly, my attentions were busy elsewhere for the weekend, but if you need any more sometime, feel free to look me up. My fingers and I would be happy to oblige. 😉 You know where I’m at.

Nyte21 -- Good to see a new artist on board. The urban/graffitti style you’ve got going definitely has it’s merits. Keep working on it. I’d love to see some of your finished work, and see you even try your hand at a piece of tk art or two -- t’would be interesting to see how the style translates... You should really look up the work of Damion Scott -- here’s a link to the dealer of his work -- it has an example of his mural work as well as stuff for comics.

Viper & Corry -- Mark, it was good to see you again -- the man behind the videos. Keep up the great work! And Corry, I’m glad you connected with FireGuardian as you did. She’s a wonderful girl, and it’s cool she seemed to find someone she could really relate to in you.

DVNC -- I know I was quiet in the beginning, but thanks for the words of encouragement and attempts to engage me throughout. You and Bella ran some excellent workshops, and both do well working with a crowd. I wish I’d been able to see all your presentations in full, but perhaps next time. Don’t hesitate to PM me.

Oddball -- I look forward to you making yourself more known here. You strike me as a great and funny guy.

Baldadonis -- Dude, t’was good meeting you. I know from whom I shall have to get my poker lessons, when I’m ready.

Alchemy -- Only saw the glove briefly, but damn, it looked wicked! And your costume? Flawless! Great to see you again. Please, though, when you’re looking to board the ship, mind the gangplank! Can’t afford to lose you to the drink, man! (Unless that drink be rum, of course... Arrr!!! 😀 )

Max -- Only a few words passed between us, but they were all greatly appreciated. I thank you.

Jeff -- Good seeing you. Glad you had a great weekend, and thanks for your contributing as part of the NEST Team.

Andy -- What can I say? You're the man for picking up that bill for everyone! Thanks a ton!

Bella -- Thank you for being a great newbie guide, and thanks for the invitation as well -- I hope I can fit it into my schedule this year. I'd love to attend. Looking around, though, I think the pirate thing’s a touch too popular if it’s a costume party again, so I’ll have to see what else my wardrobe holds in store... 🙂 Also, I kind of pride myself on my aftercare efforts... During your presentation w/DVNC, there seemed to be some suggestion that there’s some sort of “manual” you were working from? I didn’t catch the whole of the presentation, but if there is a manual of sorts, I’d be curious to see a copy, and see if there’s anything I’m missing in my own protocol. Always looking to improve. PM me if you have the chance.

Lee -- Holy crap! How did I go through that breakfast and miss shaking your hand?!! Just the swarm of people, I guess... But thanks so much for heading up the team that made all this possible this year. T'was a helluva job that you executed with aplomb. Sorry I didn't catch you at breakfast, but you know I'll be in touch soon. Take a breather, though, you multi-tasker! You’ve earned it!

Headsnap -- Yes, I know you weren’t there, you limey git! But your thread in GenDis was priceless and had me and FireGuardian rolling! So save your quid, pikey, and hop a (insert whatever queer British slang you bastards use for “airplane”) to this side of the pond next year. Crap, with exchange rates going the way they are, you should be able to buy whatever bloody hotel you want to stay in for a few euros and still have change left over for tea, crumpets and modern American dentistry!

Bride and Starwolffe -- You guys are at the core of my adopted tickle-family. Thanks for everything -- for listening and caring when others didn’t, for seeing when others didn’t bother to look, and for standing by me through everything over the past two years, family trauma and otherwise. You all are awesome. I love you both.

FireGuardian -- My dear, you were an absolute gem and a pleasure to spend the weekend with! There really are no words. ...but there is this:
tsuncopy2.jpg
(just a sketch now, from memory, so forgive any inaccuracies... It’s tough to do this sort of thing from “life” -- tickling with one hand while drawing with the other proves a bit of a challenge even for me. 😀 ). You have just the perfect, rounded face for this sort of “Sun” piece I’ve had in mind for a bit... Gotta’ work out some glitches for the final draft, and I may ask you to model for me a bit more to get just the right expression (or just for fun! 😉 )... You give me a call any time, babe. I’m always happy to chat about anything with you. Take care, and I’ll talk to you soon. :twohugs:

Questions, TicklerBart, CrystalLight, Tickleshotel, IrishGirl5, Ticklejen, Tortuga, ASU, Brighteyes, Craig & Pinky, Jonathan (of the pink hair), Kilitiinko, Impaler, Drew70, TKPatience, and too many other folks to mention and remember... Guys and gals, there was just far too little time... Some of you were newbies, some of you were quiet, and some I just couldn’t get around to talking to for any length for reasons of time, or exhaustion, or being needed elsewhere, but I hope you all had an excellent weekend, and I hope to catch you again next year.

Some notable absences this year:

Dave2112 -- I'd so hoped to meet you this go 'round, but I guess it wasn't to be... I hope things are looking up for you, man.

RChello and Ticklesaurus -- I only lump you two together for proximity, and for the fact that I’ve never met you, but heard such good things about you both from good people. Hope you all make it out next time.

Babbles -- You and I’ll have to hang again sometime. It’s been too long since I’ve seen you, and the internet doesn’t do the real you, whom I know, justice.

TTD & Shygirl -- I hope whatever circumstances prevented you from attending this year find a quick, simple, reasonable and peaceful conclusion, so you can join us again. It was good meeting you at Spenser & M’s.

Bratgirl & G -- Florida?!! Darnit, you guys’ve really gotta’ schedule better next time... No one can instigate a fun and fiery conversation like you, G. 🙂

Robace -- I know you had other priorities this year, but sometime I do hope to catch up with one of the voices of reason of the P&R Forum... Don’t think I can swing the Georgia Gathering this year (which is a pity, ‘cause it looks kickin’!), but perhaps some other time...

QBWeaver -- To The Queen... ...everything that goes for Bride and Starwolffe goes for you at least as much, if not more. I deeply appreciate all your support and sacrifice. I am in your debt. :twohugs: Here’s hoping things improve, and I hope we can see you in attendance next year. If there's anything I can do for you ever, let me know. Thanks again, so much, for everything. I’ll be in touch soon.

Heck, I could make a list of people who I didn’t really have any reasonable expectation of seeing at this one, but hope to meet or see sometime soon, be it at NEST or otherwise... But I’ll sum them up thusly: All who made it to Classy’s NHG II, and all who were at Spenser and M’s last year (including Spenser and M themselves!) better get yer butts over here next time, darnit! I miss you all!

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.
