I recently picked up Chris Jericho's book, and it has made me contemplate the near full bookshelf of wrestling - related texts I now own. I asked myself "Do I have a favorite?"

So now I turn the question over to those fans of wrestling who enjoy the books. Do you have a favorite? Why?

Personally, "Have a Nice Day" is my favorite so far. I am still pissed at an associate of mine who wandered off with my copy. It was the first book I remember being written by a wrestler, and not a company.

I haven't finished Jericho's book, but it's already a close second. I might have to change my answer by the time I'm done.

I really enjoyed Ric Flair`s auto-biography. He has so many incredible behind the scene memories of wrestling at it`s zenith. Stories about driving from city to city with other wrestlers and all they shit they did

"The Rise and Fall of ECW" was my personal favorite. It was incredibly cool for me personally to read about great high points that happened at events that I was actually present for. Most of it was new to me, but some things inspired great trips down memory lane.

I miss that ECW. :dropatear

I liked Y2J's book as well. It was funny and well pased for the most part. It was sad about his mom, but in the end it was great that reached his goal of being an international star. Foley's book was a great read as well, it was alot like Y2J's in that it was loaded with comical stuff. Hart's book is the bible. He talks about life from his child hood when his brother Bruce first explains about wrestling being fixed, to all his triumphs and tragidies in the wrestling buisness, until his brothers death, and his owen career ending injury. This is the book you read if you want to know the truth about the wrestling indastry both the good and the bad.

I read it too, if you think I am up Bret's ass as a fan, then this book proves Flair is the only man on earth who can suck dick and lick and ass hole at the same time. This entire book was about sucking McMahon cock. Anybody who claimes to be the "Greatest Wrestler of all time" and is working for the "Greatest Promoter of all time" and then says he didn't think he could draw working a program with Bret Hart either an idiot or a liar. In Flairs case he might be both if you consider the fact that he went back to WCW and while Hart was still WWF champion, and continued to draw just fine with out him. Wooooo, Wooooo, Woooo!

As long as you blatantly blast anything or anyone that not pro-Hart all the way, you will NEVER EVER be taken seriously here.

I don't know if I have a fave. I've read Have a Nice Day, Foley Is Good, and Jericho's book. I thought they were all funny as hell and worth reading. I think I'll get Jerry Lawler's book someday. The next one I'll be getting is Bret's book. I already know it'll be one of the best. And I can't wait for Jericho's second book.

"Every Man Has His Price: The True Story of Wrestling's Million Dollar Man" by Ted Dibiase. A really good backstage look at not only wrestling, but Dibiase's conversion to christianity.

Did you see the DVD? It was near identical to the book, in my opinion, and much more entertaining to watch than read.

I thought "Have a Nice Day" was awesome. . .

"Foley is Good" wasnt all that good, to me. It seemed very random at times, and Mick preached a lot.

"Hardcore Diaries" was a return to Mick's greatness.

You mean as long as I don't go along with you I won't be taken seriously by you. Thats ok bcause I don't take you seriously on this topic either. Everything I stated about Flair's book is true. The man is an ass hole, and a 2nd rait ring worker at best. His mic skills are with out question the best, but when you do the exact same match just about every single time you go on tv or PPV you can hardly claim to be the best. The only reason people really buy into that line of crap is because they have been conned by the promotional hype and the fact that everybody elts worked so hard to make Flair look good. On the other side of the spectrem, when Vince was trying to buil HBK to be the new superstar, he tried everything he could to underplay Bret, even though Hart was doing everything he could to make everyone he worked with look better then they were. It wasn't until after Shawn won the title that the shit really hit the fan for the (then) WWF, the tuth sucks doesn't it Flock?

But other than that you feel fine?

Don`t waste your time. If a wrestler isn`t Canadian , in his opinion, they just flat-out suck. It just rips him up that most eveyone agrees that Ric Flair is the best wrestler ever to come down the pike. Listen to all the big name stars of today that also agree that Flair is the reason why they got into wrestling.

Even iconic wrestlers like Sting give Flair nothing but praise for helping evelate his career .

I think most also agree that the Hitman was a great wrestler.Let me repeat myself, Hitman was a great wrestler. But in the big scheme of things, Flair is by far in a class by himself.

give this book a read

Harley Race's King of the Ring book

It goes into detail about his beginnings, his title reigns, and everything. It's an excellent read. You won't be disappointed

Also Eddie Guerrero's Cheating Death, Stealing life is a great read, too

You're a fucking liar. It doesn't rip me up that everyone is dumb enough to believe what the promoters tell them, it makes me laugh at was a pack of marks you are. I have Flairs first DVD set, as well as Hart. Flair matchs were boring, the people he worked with saved him most of the time. Why do you think McMahon sent Flair and Savage back out to rework an entire Pretapes match once. Considering the fact that Savage likes to plan most things ahead I would bet it wasn't because of him. Of course you wouldn't know about that cause you've only read Flairs book.

Sting is cool, but he doesn't have anywhere near the background in wrestling that Hart has. Tho even Hart gives Flair his dew as a well conditioned performer, it's to bad he doesn't have the class to give Bret the respect he us due as a worker. Of course if he did he'd have to cop to being 2nd best at best.

Yeah he was in a class alright, the Special Education Class.

Any of Mick Foley's books are great, Jerry Lawler's is very entertaining, The Rock's book is interesting cause it's divided between Dwayne's perspective and The Rock's....and it keeps switching.

The worst books have to be Chyna's(total whine and bitchfest), and Kurt Angle's(completely boring......was in the Olympics, met his wife, oh, and wrestling)
