You've got to be kidding me Belichick? Going for it on 4th and 2 from your own 28 yard line has to be one of THE WORST COACHING DECISIONS I've ever seen. That guy has an ego the size of New England and deserves to lose after making that bone-headed decision. What a moron. Makes you wonder if they would have won any Super Bowls without the help of illegally taping all of the opposing teams practices. I actually picked the Patriots to win this game. I didn't anticipate that idiot coach making an unthinkable decision like that. Congrats to the undefeated Colts and Peyton Manning for a great comeback.

More likely than not, Manning was gonna throw a game winning drive. Blame the defense for not showing up to stop the Colts. He has shown he can decimate defenses in the short game and the Pats were more than likely going to go in prevent defense and allow the short yard crap. If anything, the Colts were under more pressure than the Pats. They were limited by their field position and had to force the ball into a smaller region than compared with Manning to work with 80 plus yards of field in his own home field.

The Colts would have won that game regardless. It was just meant to be.

Nearly 10 years ago, Dallas tried something similar, got stuffed and ended up losing the game. What made it worse was they got stuffed TWICE on 4th down because of a penalty.

You said a mouthful right there. Risking what he did and giving Manning a chance was insane. I am not a Pats fan but I have always thought Belichick was a good coach. Starting to think Different.

Does anyone else think the spot of the ball would have given the Pats a first down if it was reviewed? Granted it was the Pats' fault for not being able to challenge because they mismanaged their time outs but I thought he made it with forward progress.

The leagues in the bag. their a bunch of Patriots haters.

I don't know why you are taking it so personally, by next year you would have jumped off the Patriots bandwagon and found another team to root on. So don't take it so personally.

Its serious because i love my Patriots more than anything!

That is why in the 50's you were a Lions fan. The 60's you were a Packers fan. In the 70's you were a Steelers fan. In the 80's you were a 49ers. In the 90's you were a Cowboys fan and here in 2000's you are a Patriots fan. See a pattern here???

haha the only Pattern I see here is how Ticklingfeet4u always seems to pick fights with people on here. I think you need the chill pill more than maniactickler lol

Yeah! Fact is Maniac and I are friends. So that means you don't know what you are talking about. But then again, I expected nothing less than that. :zzzzz:

Sorry to let you down, but i wasnt at the age to watch football in the 50s and 60s. ill admit, in the 70s i was a steelers fan, in the 80s and 90s i was a 49ers fan. now, i have mended my ways, and have become a Pats fan to the end!

Coach Belichick and Tom Brady both voted for President Obama.

I would have gone for it on 4th and 2, absolutely. It's a big game, and a big gamble but you play to win. When you have a QB like Tom Brady, and the kind of talent the Pats have amassed, you can afford to take risks. Sometimes you fail, that's the way it goes. I am not a Pats fan, and I can't stand Belichick, but he is a great coach, and it was a fine call.

Thats cool if you guys are friends, but non the less you still bitch about everything. Of course I wouldnt expect nothing less myself. Typical behavior from a lonley little boy.

A lonely little boy? Yeah real lonely...let's see I cohost the Michigan Gathering with my future wife ( August 2010 ) Sadira. I have been cohost for five years. I have been a contributing member to this community. Married for 7 1/2 years prior and have a 17 year old son. My son is 6 years younger than you. Lonely? You have no clue. You have been here for five minutes ( I know 3 1/2 months ). But you continue to sit behind your screen and judge me...that is okay!!! Lonely??? Hardly!!!

The Raiders would like a few words with you.

The biggest BULLSHIT call in NFL History.

there is room for one more place on the wagon for Maniac.

Will someone please try to explain to me how anyone in their right mind would go for it on 4th down IN THEIR OWN TERRITORY with the chance of not making it and giving the ball back to PEYTON MANNING, of all people?

What irks me is that the media is practically giving Bellichek a pass. Could you imagine what they would be saying if Eric Mangini tried the same play with the same result?

I'm not a Patriots fan, and I don't like Belichick, but... I can see what Bill was thinking.

Statistically, Brady was very likely to make 2 yards.

The problem with Bill's logic is that he's willing to risk too much. Had they punted, Peyton's chances of making it to the end zone were slimmer.

As a Giants fan, I dislike Belichick a lot, but I do admire his guts to go for it. I would rather have two downs to make two yards than give it back to Peyton anywhere on the field. What I didn't like was the play calling. Either rush 3rd rush 4th with misdirection, or, on 4th down, fake the stick throw & toss down the field. It seems like the Colt defenders jumped the stick routes on both plays.
