I went to a birthday gathering for a friend of mine. Nothing out of the ordinary. Most of the couples I know brought their kids. Some of the adults were just goofing around and tickling the children. One eight year old girl was getting tickled by one of the other parents and when she got herself off the floor because she crumbled into a ball when she got tickled, actually said to the parent "tickle me again." She raised her arm up and pointed under her arm and said "tickle me here this time." I think the parent became a little freaked because he stopped tickling her after that.

I know some lees said that they liked tickling since they were younger. I'm curious what is your opinion on the girl's response. When she grows up do you think she will be a 'lee'?

I actually have a Birthday coming up ( Feb 27th ) everyone make a note of it...j/k I would love to be tickled on my birthday :cool2:

tickling children for more than a few seconds seems inappropriate in any setting, even with parents present. There's a good reason why we have ages of consent, just to prevent the one percent of people who can't handle reality from justifying whatever they want to justify.

Well before people start "reading into" my question. It was just a curious notion.

As long as she doesn't experience some kind of traumatic experience associated with tickling as she grows up, I would think more than likely she will.

Just because her mom or dad or parents tickled her or does tickle her. Does not mean that she will still grow up becoming a ticklee or still like being tickled as she grows up.

Well, I see two possibles here.

First - the child is attention deprived and this is her way of getting her parents attention.

Second - she's a future 'lee'. In some manner anyway?

I never have seen anything wrong with tickling children, providing the child shows or gives their consent/allowence to be tickled.

As the others have said... it may just be a way of getting attention. Especially if they are many children present and she feels unimportant. Its almost to tell unless she actually admits it verbally.
