Blank CD help

yesterday,I downloaded some music from Amazon. I also added some music from other CD's onto my laptop. I then made up three different music CD's However,the only music on them that will play on the CD player in my big rig is just the songs I downloaded from Amazon. I have no idea what the problem is.

In the past,I have ripped music from other CD's onto my computer onto CD-R,and they played without any problems on my CD player in my big rig. For further confusion,all the songs on the three CD's I made up yesterday will play on my laptop.

I can't figure out what happened.

the songs that wont play might have that protection thing on them, its something you can choose to apply or not on media player from what I can remember.

I think what it does is stop them from playing anywhere but the PC they were copied from.

I might be wrong but you could look into that.

Thanks Haribish! I started clicking on various stuff on my windows media player. On the upper right,I clicked on this one icon. The data CD/DVD was on. So I clicked on audio CD. That helped. I guess the data CD/DVD is for when I burn media clips onto a bland DVD. I feel like a fool.
