Are they worth the money to buy one?

As composed to just a normal dvd player that i have (It's a normal Sony one)

Although i don't own a fancy high definition tv set. But i was just wondering about Blu-ray dvd players because for Horror Movies and box sets since some horror movies and box set's are Region 2 PAL Dvd's

If you really want a blue ray dvd player your best bet would be to buy a ps3. I hear the blue ray dvd players arent worth it.

But do you have one.....? A Blu-Ray DVD Player?

I know that the playstation 3 has a Blu-Ray drive built in because my best friend Greg has a playstation 3 now. But i should have stated my question in a different way

Can Blu-ray dvd players play Region 2 PAL DVD's for Horror movies and horror movie box set's that say it's a Region 2 PAL dvd?

or Would just any brand of dvd player do for that? (the newer models)
