Blues Dancing Anyone?

Alright all,
I've noticed that a few of my co-"ticklephiles" have gotten into blues dancing. I myself love it for many different reasons:
1. Close body contact. What better way to hold a woman you barely know in your arms, and run your fingers across her back, down her sides, and up and down her arms. (a great opportunity to get in a tickle or two)
2. The intimate connection between you and your partner.
3. The rush you get while having one of the greatest dances of your life!

Now, besides the two people who I know are going to respond, is there anyone out there who also has a deep love for this dance? Or is there another dance you feel a close connection with? Tango, swing, ballroom...?

And anyone from the blues dance cities of Chicago, St. Louis, Seattle, Houston, Portland or San Francisco?

Has nobody else in this community experienced blues dancing? Even with all the closeness, skin contact and sensual touching? Hmmmmmm...I might have to embark on a little quest to educate all the poor souls here......hehehe.

I've never been all that interested in dancing, but I've watched some of that "Dancing with the Stars" show and it looks like a lot of fun! I'd like to try it someday, but first I'd have to get some $ for lessons and a dance partner, since I have no rhythm at all.

Sorry, was totally meaning to respond to this one, just got distracted...

I'm new to blues, but have been couple dancing for nearly a decade. And while I am finding myself quite the blues fan lately, my love of couple dancing in general is truer than my affection for any one dance. And since I also love tickling, I've occasionally pondered whether there might be something in common that draws me to both. So let's see...

I think both experiences are about connecting with someone through touch. You communicate with your partner through your movements, and hope they respond in ways that show they're "with" you. I think to be a fan of either tickling or couple dancing, you have to enjoy that kind of two-way communication, and creating, "crafting" really, a great experience for another person (at least in my consensual, pleasure-giving world of tickling). And in either dancing or tickling, you can be completely absorbed in the experience, or only kind of engaged, or totally disconnected from each other and just going through the motions, doing your own thing without really paying attention to what the other person is doing. I've experienced that whole range in both dancing and tickling.

So that's something that I find distinguishes great dancers, and ticklers, from the merely mediocre. The great ones are sensitive to each partner, and let her reactions guide their actions. While some guys tickle, or dance with, every girl as if they were all the same, the great ones are truly responding to the person right in front of them. They're also sensitive to the situation and mood of the moment. They can come in with a wealth of experience behind them, and still approach every dance, or every scene, as a fresh new experience, an independent creation. These guys are the ones that we all seek out. 🙂

So anyway ticklers - if you see a bit of yourself in my description above, I hope you'll give dancing a try! (Cal_, you're good to go. 😉 )
