here are some ideas for you
the bed legs will do for a while but they are not designed to stand up to someone desperately tugging on them. upgradeing to a metal frame will be a good idea. another option is elastic roll bandage lift the matress off the box spring and lay a x alone the box spring and leave about a foot or two hanging out on the corners.then place the matress back on top of it to hold yourself or your playmate down. this way they can be secured wrist to ankle and will only be struggleing against themselves. elastic bandage can be used to tie off the wrists and ankles in a pinch but if cost is a factor visit a pet store for small dog collars and attach then to the bandage material. this works well and they can be tucked under the matress when not in use. this removes the answering iffy questions.
rope can be used for this as well but the bandage lays flat and remains almost undetectable. other furnature can be retrofitted for fun and games and be modified to remain undetectable. you may find however once you begin to retrofit you may never look at any bit of furnature the same way
again.chain works well to restrain but it can be a little hard to explain away in your decour.

2: 4 cuffs, preferably padded leather, the kind with buckles and WELDED D-rings to tie the ropes to. Available from fine naughty retailers everywhere.

That set's just an example. Or, if you don't want to buy cuffs and would prefer to do it more DIY-style, just use some more rope, 5/8ths inch width is ideal.

You could try being hogtied. It's extreme, but you might like it. I do, but spread-eagle and "the rack" exert less pressure on the joints.

Extreme restraints...BEWARE
I was in a pinch once on a work trip, meeting a fellow tickle friend, and I forgot my restraints. I bought these Extreme Restraints at a local adult store.
For the most part I was/am very happy with the purchase. The cuffs were comfortable, the velcro was easy, the buckles were strong and the straps held tight. Here is my one down side....and it's minor....it doesn't fit well on a king sized matress. The matress in the hotel was a queen, so it fit ok, but when I got it home, unless you're 7ft tall and can stretch from end to end, the straps aren't long enough.
BUT....I found a way around that......I now use them corner-to-corner, instead of headboard-to-footboard. The added space by utilizing a corner makes it possible for some of us non-NBA height lees.
With ALL of that being said...it is a good purchase and you can take it with you where evere you go.
