Oops...forgot my new favorite: Sue Grafton!

her main character, Kinzie Milhone is neat. I usually don;t get into the hardbioled detective style, but her writing is great! I love listening to the book on tape version, because the actress who reads all of Grafton's books does the voice so well.

the hollywood brother has seen many of her books. the hollywood brother was not sure if they were a series or not. the hollywood brother is very interested in her work. could you please tell the hollywood brother and all the millions of tickle freaks out there a little more about her series?

they all center around a PI, Kinzie Milhone...former police office turned PI. Many other characters come and go throughout the series. She is in a city in California north of LA. She works (initally) for an insurace company as well as her own work. They are well written and told in her voice. I highly reccomend the series. Starts with "A is for Alibi"

people who like douglass adams's work should definitely check out the salmon of doubt, a collection of published and unpublished work by adams published posthumously.

another recent book that the hollywood brother read was ric flair biography. The hollywood brother found it a interesting read as it taught the hollywood brother aobut wrestling old school when there were terriorties. Also the hollywood brother liked how the nautre boy gave his tohughts but told you why he tohught what he thought and then let you come up with your own thoughts.

The hollywood brother would recommend this book to anyone interested in wrestling whether you a nature boy fan or not.

As the nature boy claims in his book "SPACE MOUNTAIN MAY BE THE OLDEST RIDE, BUT IT HAS THE LONGEST LINE!"

come on people, there got to be more than the hollywood brother that reads brother. where are all my peeps at? do you not know that reading can help prevent the brain from wasting away according ot what the hollywood brother has heard? Now i know the hollywood brother isn ot the only tickler that reads so this goes out to all my ticklers and ticklees: The Hollywood Brother is your tickling hookup! Holla if you hear me!

the hollywood brother is currently reading faye kellerman's book called "juipter bones" it is a good nystery with a lot of drama that has not been saved for the hollywood borther's mama as the old saying goes. anyway the main detectives have to deal with a evil cult that has missing members and murders. so far the book is very intriguing indeed. It seems the hollywood brother has read over half of it in one sitting today and will likely finsih it this weekend or monday the latest.

i'm currently hooked on a resident evil novel series by S.D. Perry. also, a novel about Halo, based as a prequel to the first video game. also about to read the mechwarrior series novels.

no i guess i like video games so much, i read the novels of them. lol

Nothing wrong with what you read according to the Hollywood Brother. The point is that you read according to the Hollywood Brother. Now if you do not mind could you post a review of these books for the Hollywood Brother and his million and millions of the Hollywood Brother's tickle fans out there on this great forum

Has anyone read The Colour Of Water, by James McBride?

Great read. It's a beautiful and really inspiring story. It's about a Jewish daughter of a rabbi in rural Virginia, who runs away to Harlem, marries a black man and founds an all-black Baptist church in her living room in Red Hook. Half of this true story is told from her viewpoint (of her past), and the rest is told by James McBride - one of her twelve black children - growing up, continually being confused as to why his mother bears a different skin colour to his.

I'm so busy doing journal articles to keep up on oncology, helping kids with homework and MDJ with her masters that I don't have much time. I have been listening to the adui version of John Maxwell's "Today Matters", my favorite non-fiction writer and expert on leadership.

the hollywood brother wantas to thank the 20,000 forum members who are posting. now as far the mcbride one is not the Hollywood Brother correct in thinking that Red Hook is the home of the human suplex machine Tazz? If the Hollywood Brother remember somewhat correctly the classic tag line was sometihng like "beat the Hollywood Brother if you can. survive if the Hollywood Brother let you"

hey yo! It survey time! The Hollywood Brother want to know if anyone still reads on this site. The Hollywood Brother want to keep this thread alive for life because it is just 2 sweet.

I'm still )slowly) reading through Love Hina. AR turned me on to Ranma 1/2 but I've only got through book 1. Can't really justify the expense of starting another series before finishing the first so I'm reading that one during trips to the bookstore. 😛 I had no idea the creator of Ranma and Inuyasha is a woman! Go figure 😛

ness: the hollywood brother uses a library. it willsave you lots of money and if you enjoy borrowingthe books for free you can make donations like the hollywood brother does from time to time

ohhhh that is a sad sad thing, HB. The town I live in does not have a public library. I think it's one of only 2 towns in the state that does not. To get access to a public library I have to pay a REALLY big annual fee. it's criminal!!

Aye! D has lots o' books! Get it? ID? Aye, never mind... The boy collects medical books, ghosty stuff and creepy ol' horror novels he does! Scares the shit out o' me it does!

at least the boy is reading which is a good thing in the eyes of the Hollywood brother

Right now I'm in the middle of 'The Pillars of the Earth' by Ken Follet.Huge fan of his.

just a few short minutes ago the Hollywood Brother finished reading faye kellerman book called "STALKER". this "stalker" book was excellent mystery book. It is part of a series that the Hollywood Brother been reading. What the Hollywood Brother liked was that this book took minor characters and made them major players. Also this was the first time in a while that the Hollywood Brother did not even come close to seeing the ending on this one.
The plot of this Hollywood Brother approved booked by faye kellerman called "STALKER" is that the main character pete decker's daughter is now a rookie police officer. At first she thinks people are playing pranks on her since she is a rookie but it becomes more than that. When she helps her father the detective look into some carjackings, she becomes targeted but for what and by whom? As the story progresses you sense and get a feel for the fear this young lady is going through. She gets to a point where she can not even trust her friends or partners because she do not know who is out to get her. Further along the Hollywood Brother starts sensingthere is more going on as she may of been dating a early carjack victim even though she denies it. The story progresses and like any good stories it gives the hollywood brother and the readers ideas of what going on but it never gets you all the way there to the end. The presure and tension keep mounting as do the list of suspects.
There is also a very dramatic ending that the Hollywood Brother did not really see. Even at the end you do not know what will happen next. Yes it does close the case at the end and the hollywood brother will not reveal the ending but it is one that kept the hollywood brother glued on his toes.

all in all the Hollywood brother has been reading the faye kellerman books for a while. It is a series of great detective books and this was the best one.

the hollywood brother want you to keep us posted on how this series of book is

hollywood brother here reminding all of the billions and billions of hollywood brother rock and roll tickle fans to keep reading. the hollywood brother has heard on the gorilliavine that reading is likeexercising for the brain and the brain is a big muscle. It may not be as massive as the hollywood brother love gun muscle but the brain still rocks and rolls with ease brother

well my favorite book is called "The Giver" its an awesome book about thses ppl who live in this sheltered community without color, without knowlege of good and evil, and even without choices. and everyone has an assign rolls in the community based on what the favored as young kids, and one special boy who one day was throwin an apple and sees it change 4 a brief moment and not knowin what he saw but later realizes that he has the gift and what he saw color saw. he gets assigned the job of becomming the reciever, and 2 do that he has 2 gain all knowlege of color, good, bad, war...etc, from the man they call the giver and they embark upon thier jurney of given and recievin memories and knowledge through transferring(the giver touches him and he lives the memories and feel the good along with the bad), but i dont want 2 tell the whole thing u have 2 read it, its an awesome book.

2 years ago i read this book that to this day is the best book i've ever read.

what ticks me off is i can't remember the name or author.

it was about how mankind finds vast tunnels under the earth with makes way for to ways to travel, only problem is the tunnels are filled with deadly and intellegent "gargoyles."the army tries to eradicate the gargoyles, but thousands of troops die in bloody battles, and they take innocent humans as slaves in the pitch blackness of the tunnels. An ex-major in the army leads an exploration team down a particular tunnel connecting north america to china i think. and some villian has found a way to control the gargoyles (i think) anyway it's an awesome action packed book. where the bad guy suffers one of the best deaths i've ever seen.

if anyone can tell me the name of this book or the aurthor, i seriously will be their slave for a day. i want this book so much.

the hollywood brother is getting ready to read george carlin's new book and will post review. also there is a rumor that the hollywood brother may be reading a biography on hitchcook the horror legend (not hitchcock the flyers coach) soon.
