"Born with a tickling fetish" I think is bogus

If I thought an absolute answer existed, I'd go look it up instead of starting a discussion on the internet. 😉

Wouldn't we all? :-0

Shame that many folks out there simply could care less about better understanding oneself and that's all they want to do is wank it to that information.

Admittedly I'm sheltered from some of the more disturbing tendencies of the male membership by virtue of being male myself, but I haven't seen any evidence of this being the case. Whenever these threads crop up, which they do from time to time in one form or another, what tends to result are reasonably scholarly (-ish) and engaging discussions of the various theories surrounding the development of a tickle fetish; I've never really noticed a tendency for people to demand more info from female members in a "what are you wearing?" kind of way.

I was speaking to why I say what I say here in forum. I'm not going to delve into a diatribe about the triggers and/or emotional/physical causes that granted a response that could justify why it is that I have what I have now.

Diatribe? lol wut 😛

I haven't seen this being the case, but I tend to look at threads that ask questions like "How long have you been a tickle fetishist?" as purely innocent exercises in curiosity. Then again, like I said, I'm shielded from the more ridiculous and disgusting excesses of my gender by virtue of being male, so... yeah.

If this IS true, it's sad and pathetic in ways I can't even begin to describe, not least because it will stop people adding their insights to discussions like this one.

Being "born with a tickling fetish" does sound silly, but like I offered, there might be chemical effects there that would help pre-dispose one to the fetish itself even inuteros.

The "chemical triggers" thing is something I find interesting, because it's a sort of common ground between the nature/ nurture debate that satisfies both sides. To me, it seems silly to suggest that there's a gene that can predispose people to a specific fetish; whilst at the same time a fetish can't solely be a set of learned behaviours, otherwise everyone would have one in some form or another and we know that some people (the majority?..) don't.

So yeah, the chemical triggers thing makes sense, and there are precedents for it in alcoholism and stuff too.

yup, same with me and weetabix, just goes to show that some things grow on us. I dont think tickling is always one of those things tho, same as cheese, bananas and weetabix, certainly can be tho.

For me Weetabix is something I will never learn to like. When I was a kid Weetabix was advertised by little dancing Weetabix-men in funny costumes, and I used to imagine the little Weetabix men living happily in the box with their a funny costumes on doing silly dances and being friends, and I knew that if I took one out and ate it the others would come into my room seeking revenge for my murderous ways. That put me off them for life, and in such a disturbing way that I don't think I will ever be able to eat one... :-o

I totally believe I was born with it...how do you explain being a toddler who liked tickling women's feet and getting excited from it?
