Brag about your favorite band no one has heard of!

The best SF band...

Hawkwind, nobody seems to have heard of them in Kendal at least! Good music, great and wierd lyrics. What more could a certified panama hat wearing loon like myself want?

woo first post.

Brand New is unbelievable, they're basically the reason I got a bigger mp3 player. Seeing them live is a crazy experience, I swear that every fan knows every word of every song. I don't think i've ever met a "casual" Brand New fan. Theyre doing Lollapalooza this year, too. Might be worth it.

Hmm...
I think...

Múm
Asian Dub Foundation
Black Sun Empire
Noisia
Boris
The Sequins
Dead!Dead!Dead!
Souvaris

Oh yeah, and anything that Mike Patton ever did - Fantomas, Mr Bungle etc...
😀

Notcoolzeus and tequila!, you know what's up! Brand New is amazing, and their live show even more so.

Ok im gonna throw 3 Inches Of Blood and Evile into this mix

The prior is a mixture of screamo, thrash, and iron maiden style melodies, and they sing all about battles, in short great

Best songs include Fear on the Bridge, Deadly Sinners, Swordmaster, Destroy the Orcs, Night Marauders, The Goatriders Horde, Trial of Champions

The latter is a band from the north of England, who sound very similar to Slayer, but play songs about 80s action movies and killer sharks and stuff

They only have 1 album to date, but what an album, with songs like Enter the Grave, Thrasher, First Blood, Burned Alive, Killer from the Deep and Bathe in Blood

...perhaps i havent sold them to you with my descriptions, so heres a couple of links for you to make your own minds up

A friend turned me on to Camel about two months ago. I bought their CD 'Mirage' about a month ago and haven't removed it from my CD player since. The album was originally released in 1974 which makes me wonder how it took so long for me to finally hear it, Rock music lover that I am:

Here's a live performance (circa the 1980s) of the song 'Lady Fantasy,' my favorite track from that album. Guitarist/vocalist Andrew Latimer and supposedly keyboardist Peter Bardens are the only two original members performing in this video. Peter Bardens passed away on January 22, 2002:

And here's the original line-up (Andrew Latimer, Peter Bardens, Andy Ward & Doug Ferguson) circa 1977, live in concert, performing 'Nimrodel/The Procession/The White Rider':

I've been listening to Ludo a lot lately. Soooo good. If you like clever, indie rock( basically the vaguest description ever) you'd love them.

Actually this is probably a band that someone has heard of. I got into Stereolab last year after hearing one of their cds("Transient Random-Noise Bursts With Announcements") playing in a local record shop. Been a huge fan of theirs ever since.

I know many people have heard of them, but I've been listening to a lot of "experimental" electronica, ala warp and rephlex records.

Squarepusher
Luke Vibert
Cassetteboy
Venetian Snares
Autechre
AFX

Anyone...no?

Ian Moore- yikes that's one sexy voice

.. Does Loudness count? I really don't know how popular they were when they came out in the 80's but i'd never heard of them before last year.
