Well, i had told my gf before that I'm into tickling and such, but never to the extent that i really am. So the other day i just told her, flat out. She has terribly ticklish feet, like on a scale of 1 to 10 they are a 50. She said that she would really want to start exploring all of this and even said that after she did an on-line search on her own that we needed stocks for her feet.

SOOOOOOOOOOOO, i already built one device to use. Just and oak doll rod with two screw eyes in either end and another handle in the middle. Haven't used it yet, but she saw it and is all about trying it.

Here it is. If anyone wants dimensions or parts just let me know. I spent 20 bucks on this and only needed a drill. 2 screw eyes, some pipe insulation, two rubber chair ends, and a simple drawer handle. Her feet can be tied to either end and then either suspended to the top canopy of the bed or tied to the foot of the bed via the middle handle. Or hog tied with the hands fixed behind her to the middle handle. Endless possibilities with this tool.

Now for stocks, I'm thinking of something that i can use on the bed, but making it so that part of the stocks fit under the mattress to help hold them in place. I'm just not sure how to keep them "locked" shut or held shut. I did look at the thread that was started on how to build stocks and cant say it was always on topic, so i didn't feel like reading through all the off topic posts. Any ideas? If not, i think ill just go with some thoughts of my own, so far I'm doing well with the tickling contraption builds. Thanks kids!

A simple addition to the gadget to be more like "stocks": A few inches from each end, drill a pair of 1/2-inch holes about 5 inches apart perpendicular to the long direction. Finish off the ends with a knife or countersink to remove sharp edges. Then, loop a 3/8-inch or so rope through each pair of holes to hold ankles against the padded wood.

Thats a pretty good idea. I think i may add that modification to the rod i built. I do however like the idea of the toes being tied back to something and the feet made really immobile. If i could draw id try to illustrate what i was thinking.

The name for the first device is a spreader! It's a pretty common one. I've thought of pressing a barbell shaft into use as a spreader. It's good and sturdy. And heavy! The weights could be attatched, too, to make it practically unmovable!

Your tool would make a great yoke as well. Use a collar with a D-ring and latch, then hook that center ring to it. Cuff the wrists and latch them to the rings on the ends. Give it a shot!!

I was looking around today and found that name "spreader." Thanks Jimmyjames, good ideas. Weight bar could work. I own a gym, and she actually suggested we use some of the equipment there after hours. Not a bad idea.

Hi - maybe I can help with the design.

I do 3d modeling and we could see what needs to be done as a model and it should make construction easier.

Here's one of my designs and a render with figures and another render of the FM Concepts "chair stocks" model I've done.

On looking at your Idea I'd have to say I would go for some way of securing to the mattress base which should be rigid. The mattess would have too much give.
Two sort of "C" clamps could maybe used and you could attach the boards to those. I have to say that in modelling and probably in real life the hardest part in "stocks" designs would be to make the circular ankle holes and to pad them so they won't hurt or cut off circulation.

I've tried a couple of modern type designs with a pole replacing the boards and some type of bondage cuffs holding the ankles but I have to admit they don't have the psychological effect of feet sticking out by themselves. It's probably why I like the "Sawn in half" scenario so much.

Anyway please let me know if I can help. Working out the design stuff first could save you some time.

The 3D stuff or the spreader? If it's the 3d stuff we should continue in a new thread so we don't dilute this one as the last stocks construction one got sidetracked.

For a discussion on how I 've done the 3d images attached I've created a sub-post http://www.tickletheater.com/showthread.php?p=482784#post482784

Sorry to the original poster - yjgfn, I didn't mean to hi-jack the thread and I'm serious about working out a design for you. I did technical drawing at school and wouldn't bother to try sketching out any design after I started with modelling.

I'm sort of looking at your carpentary sills as basic - able to saw a straight line and able to drill holes. One thing I think stocks designers miss is that the whole thing can be held together with dowels and taken apart as easily by tapping them out of the holes with a screwdriver or ?. For something really simple the two stocks boards could be held together with cable ties and cut after use.

I think what most stocks designers miss is that they are working against the leg muscles which are the strongest in the body. If you can restrict the knee joint from moving the thigh muscle can't be brought into play and your stocks can be a whole lot weaker.

Sorry for the third edit but if your stocks are strong enough and well designed your girlfriend will be able to struggle as much as she wants and not be able to make a difference and not hurt herself.

Oh - and also congratulations on finding someone who will go along with this or even enjoy it - that seems to be very rare. Treasure her!
