Wow. THis movie has some real messed up stuff in it - mostly packed into the beginning.

After leaving I get the sense that someone (likely executive producer Kutcher) stepped in and made an alternative ending because they really could have left this messed up with some real creepy characters.

Kutcher was believable in a serious role, and the chick that played opposite him was awesome in all her different personalities.

Anyone else seen it and liked it? It got horrible reviews BTW.

As Drew said, we just saw it. I think they could have ended it a number of ways. But, the ending they chose was good. I enjoyed it. If anyone plans to watch who hasn't seen it yet...be sure you're with it enough to really pay attention. It jumps around a lot. But, I thought it was worth it.

What version did you guys watch? The thearatical or the DC? Both have different endings, way different. The thearatical version's ending is way better.

I avoided this unti recently dtrell & my friend Kiki convinced me to watch. I saw director's cut and LOVED it. Surprised at how very talented Ashton was as well.

Although the posse had to calm me down for like 10 minutes afterwards, because I'm a total crybaby!

I liked the movie!

I remember an essay from a long time ago called "The Butterfly Effect". It was about a group of people who had found a way t go back in time to hunt dinosaurs right before they died so history wouldn't be messed up. The only catch was, they had to stay on a certain path built by the company so they wouldn't disturb the natural order of things. One guy on the path stepped on a butterfly on the trip, and when they went back, the whole country was ruled by communists. Wierd essay, but funny and might be a little true.

Just watched it last night. Very well done but geez it was depressing! I was impressed with Ashton's acting chops though.

just watched it tonight. excellent movie! really makes you think about the consequences of every direction you take in life. I watched the theatrical version. now I am going to have to check out the director’s version too. there were SO many possible endings.

(I think I yelled, “NOooooo…” at least three times)
