Calling all TESLA fans!

After a few years of silence, the rock band TESLA has once again emerged with a new album called "Into The Now" The release date is March 9th and will be followed by a world tour. I always dug these guys and always thought they were way under-rated...so if you are a TESLA fan, click the following link and go check out their site and the new happenings!

I have had the pleasure of meeting Frank Hannon (One of Tesla's guitsr players) twice, and hanging out with him the last time talking guitar stuff naturally. He is an awesome dude and an extremley talented guitar player.

Yes Dave...they did avoid the glam thing which was one of the attractions. Frank has a little three piece band he travels around Calif. with and plays small clubs just for fun of it. He plays a few of his own originals, but mostly he plays the rock songs that HE loved growing up as a kid...like paying homage! Man, let me tell ya...it is one great show and the song list is like a "Greatest Rock Songs Ever" album...lol What really had me looking though is when he played "Dazed and Confused" by Zepplin just like the way Jimmy did it from the soundtrack "The Song Remains The Same." He also did the Title track (SRTS) and "Heartbreaker" by Zep. He even had the doubleneck SG that Page uses! Then he ended the show with Framptons "Do you Feel Like We Do" and naturally he nailed the talk box part perfectly.

BTW...I am trying to win backstage passes with Tesla and would appreciate if my buds here would just click on the link I provided above...it get's me points. Thanks

oh drew70! Really...never heard of them...hmmmmmm. Well, they were very popular around the mid 80's thru the mid 90's. Some of their big hit's included "Modern Day Cowboy," "Little Suzi," "Comin At Ya Live" "Love Song," and the big remake hit of "Signs." Maybe you might recognize one of those. BTW fellow TMF'ers...I am trying to win backstage passes by helping promote the new CD so if ya all could kindly help out by clicking on that link I posted above, that will help me in the rankings.
